Then Jacob woke up and thought,“Surely the LORD is in this place, but I did not realize it!”

Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him and all the signs that he had commanded him.

The LORD said to Moses,“Go down and solemnly warn the people, lest they force their way through to the LORD to look, and many of them perish.

The commander of the LORD’s army answered Joshua,“Remove your sandals from your feet, because the place where you stand is holy.” Joshua did so.

But the Lord said to him,‘Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.
