TSK · Isaiah 43:1

By your loyal love you will lead the people whom you have redeemed; you will guide them by your strength to your holy dwelling place.

And now, if you will diligently listen to me and keep my covenant, then you will be my special possession out of all the nations, for all the earth is mine,

Is this how you repay the LORD, you foolish, unwise people? Is he not your father, your Creator? He has made you and established you.

Israel’s Rebellion But Jeshurun became fat and kicked, you got fat, thick, and stuffed! Then he deserted the God who made him, and treated the Rock who saved him with contempt.

The account of his intervention will be recorded for future generations; people yet to be born will praise the LORD.

Don’t be afraid, despised insignificant Jacob, men of Israel. I am helping you,” says the LORD, your protector, the Holy One of Israel.

everyone who belongs to me, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed– yes, whom I made!

the people whom I formed for myself, so they might praise me.”

One will say,‘I belong to the LORD,’ and another will use the name‘Jacob.’ One will write on his hand,‘The LORD’s,’ and use the name‘Israel.’”

Remember these things, O Jacob, O Israel, for you are my servant. I formed you to be my servant; O Israel, I will not forget you!

Shout for joy, O sky, for the LORD intervenes; shout out, you subterranean regions of the earth. O mountains, give a joyful shout; you too, O forest and all your trees! For the LORD protects Jacob; he reveals his splendor through Israel.

This is what the LORD says, the Holy One of Israel, the one who formed him, concerning things to come:“How dare you question me about my children! How dare you tell me what to do with the work of my own hands!

Leave Babylon! Flee from the Babylonians! Announce it with a shout of joy! Make this known! Proclaim it throughout the earth! Say,‘The LORD protects his servant Jacob.

I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will get drunk on their own blood, as if it were wine. Then all humankind will recognize that I am the LORD, your deliverer, your protector, the Powerful One of Jacob.”

Don’t be afraid, for you will not be put to shame! Don’t be intimidated, for you will not be humiliated! You will forget about the shame you experienced in your youth; you will no longer remember the disgrace of your abandonment.

They will be called,“The Holy People, the Ones Protected by the LORD.” You will be called,“Sought After, City Not Abandoned.”

For you are our father, though Abraham does not know us and Israel does not recognize us. You, LORD, are our father; you have been called our protector from ancient times.

“You have surely noticed what these people are saying, haven’t you? They are saying,‘The LORD has rejected the two families of Israel and Judah that he chose.’ So they have little regard that my people will ever again be a nation.

But the one who will rescue them is strong. His name is the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. He will strongly champion their cause. As a result he will bring peace and rest to the earth, but trouble and turmoil to the people who inhabit Babylonia.

“‘Then I passed by you and watched you, noticing that you had reached the age for love. I spread my cloak over you and covered your nakedness. I swore a solemn oath to you and entered into a marriage covenant with you, declares the Sovereign LORD, and you became mine.

“They will belong to me,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies,“in the day when I prepare my own special property. I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.

Therefore keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will be just as I have been told.

However, God’s solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal:“The Lord knows those who are his,” and“Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from evil.”

But showing its fault, God says to them,“Look, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will complete a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
