TSK · John 17:3

“And you, Solomon my son, obey the God of your father and serve him with a submissive attitude and a willing spirit, for the LORD examines all minds and understands every motive of one’s thoughts. If you seek him, he will let you find him, but if you abandon him, he will reject you permanently.

Your loyal followers trust in you, for you, LORD, do not abandon those who seek your help.

Having suffered, he will reflect on his work, he will be satisfied when he understands what he has done.“My servant will acquit many, for he carried their sins.

The LORD says,“Wise people should not boast that they are wise. Powerful people should not boast that they are powerful. Rich people should not boast that they are rich.

“But I will make a new covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the LORD.“I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be my people.

“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

“But I have a testimony greater than that from John. For the deeds that the Father has assigned me to complete– the deeds I am now doing– testify about me that the Father has sent me.

Do not work for the food that disappears, but for the food that remains to eternal life– the food which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has put his seal of approval on him.”

but I know him, because I have come from him and he sent me.”

Jesus replied,“If I glorify myself, my glory is worthless. The one who glorifies me is my Father, about whom you people say,‘He is our God.’

I knew that you always listen to me, but I said this for the sake of the crowd standing around here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

Jesus replied,“Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say,‘Show us the Father’?

because I have given them the words you have given me. They accepted them and really understand that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

I in them and you in me– that they may be completely one, so that the world will know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me.

With regard then to eating food sacrificed to idols, we know that“an idol in this world is nothing,” and that“there is no God but one.”

For God, who said“Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.

With flaming fire he will mete out punishment on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

“And there will be no need at all for each one to teach his countryman or each one to teach his brother saying,‘Know the Lord,’ since they will all know me, from the least to the greatest.

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us insight to know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This one is the true God and eternal life.
