and you will be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you will speak to the Israelites.”

You must also do this for your oxen and for your sheep; seven days they may remain with their mothers, but give them to me on the eighth day.

Moses then said to Aaron,“This is what the LORD spoke:‘Among the ones close to me I will show myself holy, and in the presence of all the people I will be honored.’” So Aaron kept silent.

“Speak to the Israelites and tell them,‘I am the LORD your God!

Each of you must respect his mother and his father, and you must keep my Sabbaths. I am the LORD your God.

You must not pick your vineyard bare, and you must not gather up the fallen grapes of your vineyard. You must leave them for the poor and the resident foreigner. I am the LORD your God.

You must be holy to me because I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from the other peoples to be mine.

Thus you will remember and obey all my commandments and be holy to your God.

Joshua warned the people,“You will not keep worshiping the LORD, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God who will not forgive your rebellion or your sins.

The residents of Beth Shemesh asked,“Who is able to stand before the LORD, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

Praise the LORD our God! Worship on his holy hill, for the LORD our God is holy!

For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your deliverer. I have handed over Egypt as a ransom price, Ethiopia and Seba in place of you.

Do two walk together without having met?

For God did not call us to impurity but in holiness.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
