Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that hovers over its young, so the LORD spread out his wings and took him, he lifted him up on his pinions.

May the LORD reward your efforts! May your acts of kindness be repaid fully by the LORD God of Israel, from whom you have sought protection!”

The Babylonians Destroy Jerusalem The LORD God of their ancestors continually warned them through his messengers, for he felt compassion for his people and his dwelling place.

You prolonged your kindness with them for many years, and you solemnly admonished them by your Spirit through your prophets. Still they paid no attention, so you delivered them into the hands of the neighboring peoples.

How precious is your loyal love, O God! The human race finds shelter under your wings.

I am the LORD, your God, the one who brought you out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide and I will fill it!’

He will shelter you with his wings; you will find safety under his wings. His faithfulness is like a shield or a protective wall.
