When birds of prey came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.

Salt and Light“You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its flavor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by people!

“So listen to the parable of the sower:

He answered,“The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.

These are the ones on the path where the word is sown: Whenever they hear, immediately Satan comes and snatches the word that was sown in them.

“Now the parable means this: The seed is the word of God.

For if someone merely listens to the message and does not live it out, he is like someone who gazes at his own face in a mirror.
