Jesus’ Anointing Now while Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, reclining at the table, a woman came with an alabaster jar of costly aromatic oil from pure nard. After breaking open the jar, she poured it on his head.

Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where the body was placed.

Mark 16:8 TSK

Then they went out and ran from the tomb, for terror and bewilderment had seized them. And they said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.

Then they returned and prepared aromatic spices and perfumes. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.

Then, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies should not stay on the crosses on the Sabbath(for that Sabbath was an especially important one), the Jewish leaders asked Pilate to have the victims’ legs broken and the bodies taken down.
