The lips of the righteous know what is pleasing, but the speech of the wicked is perverse.

The heart of the righteous considers how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.

What defiles a person is not what goes into the mouth; it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles a person.”

And the tongue is a fire! The tongue represents the world of wrongdoing among the parts of our bodies. It pollutes the entire body and sets fire to the course of human existence– and is set on fire by hell.
