“The LORD bless you and protect you;

The LORD demonstrates his power to deliver; in the sight of the nations he reveals his justice.

Approach me! Listen to this! From the very first I have not spoken in secret; when it happens, I am there.” So now, the Sovereign LORD has sent me, accompanied by his Spirit.

The LORD reveals his royal power in the sight of all the nations; the entire earth sees our God deliver.

After Jesus was baptized, just as he was coming up out of the water, the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him.

He said to them,“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”

So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added.

Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said,“Look, there is water! What is to stop me from being baptized?”

Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,

Both Paul and Barnabas replied courageously,“It was necessary to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we are turning to the Gentiles.

After she and her household were baptized, she urged us,“If you consider me to be a believer in the Lord, come and stay in my house.” And she persuaded us.

“Therefore be advised that this salvation from God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen!”

But I ask, have they not heard? Yes, they have: Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.

so that through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

And this prefigured baptism, which now saves you– not the washing off of physical dirt but the pledge of a good conscience to God– through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
