TSK · Nehemiah 5:1

“If you lend money to any of my people who are needy among you, do not be like a moneylender to him; do not charge him interest.

The Spirit of Liberality If a fellow Israelite from one of your villages in the land that the LORD your God is giving you should be poor, you must not harden your heart or be insensitive to his impoverished condition.

so that they caused the cry of the poor to come before him, so that he hears the cry of the needy.

You also do this: You cover the altar of the LORD with tears as you weep and groan, because he no longer pays any attention to the offering nor accepts it favorably from you.

The next day Moses saw two men fighting, and tried to make peace between them, saying,‘Men, you are brothers; why are you hurting one another?’

Look, the pay you have held back from the workers who mowed your fields cries out against you, and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
