Like vinegar to the teeth and like smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.

The north wind brings forth rain, and a gossiping tongue brings forth an angry look.

The LORD says,“I saw the prophets of Samaria doing something that was disgusting. They prophesied in the name of the god Baal and led my people Israel astray.

When I say to the wicked,“You will certainly die,” and you do not warn him– you do not speak out to warn the wicked to turn from his wicked lifestyle so that he may live– that wicked person will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death.

Now what is sought in stewards is that one be found faithful.

Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making his plea through us. We plead with you on Christ’s behalf,“Be reconciled to God!”

And what you heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be competent to teach others as well.
