No one is to oppress his fellow citizen, but you must fear your God, because I am the LORD your God.

Then I said,“The thing that you are doing is wrong! Should you not conduct yourselves in the fear of our God in order to avoid the reproach of the Gentiles who are our enemies?

Loyal love and faithfulness meet; deliverance and peace greet each other with a kiss.

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride and the evil way and perverse utterances.

A wise person is cautious and turns from evil, but a fool throws off restraint and is overconfident.

Loyal love and truth preserve a king, and his throne is upheld by loyal love.

Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you. Break away from your sins by doing what is right, and from your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps your prosperity will be prolonged.”

But give from your heart to those in need, and then everything will be clean for you.
