TSK · Proverbs 26:24

Jacob’s sons answered Shechem and his father Hamor deceitfully when they spoke because Shechem had violated their sister Dinah.

Then Absalom said,“If you will not go, then let my brother Amnon go with us.” The king replied to him,“Why should he go with you?”

Joab said to Amasa,“How are you, my brother?” With his right hand Joab took hold of Amasa’s beard as if to greet him with a kiss.

May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts!

When someone comes to visit, he pretends to be friendly; he thinks of ways to defame me, and when he leaves he slanders me.

The LORD abhors dishonest scales, but an accurate weight is his delight.

The faithful witness tells what is right, but a false witness speaks deceit.

The wisdom of the shrewd person is to discern his way, but the folly of fools is deception.
