And it is not across the sea, as though one must say,“Who will cross over to the other side of the sea and get it for us and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”

They are of greater value than gold, than even a great amount of pure gold; they bring greater delight than honey, than even the sweetest honey from a honeycomb.

For her benefit is more profitable than silver, and her gain is better than gold.

How much better it is to acquire wisdom than gold; to acquire understanding is more desirable than silver.

For what does it benefit a person if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life? Or what can a person give in exchange for his life?
