For he knewe well that for envie they had delivred him.

The hye prestes therfore held a counsell that they myght put Lazarus to deeth als

As they spake vnto the people the prestes and the rular of the teple and the Saduces came vpon them

The kynges of the erth stode vp and the rulars came to gedder agaynst the Lorde and agaynst his Christ.

When ye Iewes sawe the people they were full of indignacion and spake agaynst those thinges which were spoken of Paul spekinge agaynst it and raylinge on it.

But the Iewes which beleved not havynge indignacio toke vnto the evyll men which were vagabondes and gadered a company and set all the cite on a roore and made asaute vnto the housse of Iason and sought to bringe the out to the people.

envyinge murther dronkenes glottony and soche lyke: of the which I tell you before as I have tolde you in tyme past that they which comit soche thinges shall not inherite ye kyngdome of God.

Ether do ye thinke that the scripture sayth in vayne The sprite that dwelleth in you lusteth eve contrary to envie:
