The voyce of a cryer in the wildernes: prepare ye the waye of the Lorde make his paches streyght.

And thou chylde shalt be called the Prophet of the hyest: for thou shalt goo before the face of the LORde to prepare his wayes:

And he came in to all the coostes aboute Iordan preachynge the baptyme of repentaunce for the remission of synnes

and I knewe him not. But he that sent me to baptise in water the same sayde vnto me: apon whom thou shalt se the sprete descende and tary styll on him the same is he which baptiseth with the holy goost.
