The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, [saying] ,

Jehovah trieth the righteous; But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

He loveth righteousness and justice: The earth is full of the lovingkindness of Jehovah.

I delight to do thy will, O my God; Yea, thy law is within my heart.

I have found David my servant; With my holy oil have I anointed him:

Through thy precepts I get understanding: Therefore I hate every false way.

The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the perverse mouth, do I hate.

to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.
