And I know^H3045 that the king^H4428 of Egypt^H4714 will not give you leave^H5414 to go,^H1980 no, not by a mighty^H2389 hand.^H3027

And Moses^H4872 besought^H2470 Jehovah^H3068 his God,^H430 and said,^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 why doth thy wrath^H639 wax hot^H2734 against thy people,^H5971 that thou hast brought forth^H3318 out of the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714 with great^H1419 power^H3581 and with a mighty^H2389 hand?^H3027

Vengeance^H5359 is mine, and recompense,^H8005 At the time^H6256 when their foot^H7272 shall slide:^H4131 For the day^H3117 of their calamity^H343 is at hand,^H7138 And the things that are to come^H6264 upon them shall make haste.^H2363

because thy heart^H3824 was tender,^H7401 and thou didst humble^H3665 thyself before^H6440 Jehovah,^H3068 when thou heardest^H8085 what I spake^H1696 against this place,^H4725 and against the inhabitants^H3427 thereof, that they should become a desolation^H8047 and a curse,^H7045 and hast rent^H7167 thy clothes,^H899 and wept^H1058 before^H6440 me; I also have heard^H8085 thee, saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

And when he humbled^H3665 himself, the wrath^H639 of Jehovah^H3068 turned^H7725 from him, so as not to destroy^H7843 him altogether:^H3617 and moreover in Judah^H3063 there were good^H2896 things^H1697 [found].

Notwithstanding Hezekiah^H3169 humbled^H3665 himself for the pride^H1363 of his heart,^H3820 both he and the inhabitants^H3427 of Jerusalem,^H3389 so that the wrath^H7110 of Jehovah^H3068 came^H935 not upon them in the days^H3117 of Hezekiah.^H3169

His prayer^H8605 also, and how [God] was entreated^H6279 of him, and all his sin^H2403 and his trespass,^H4604 and the places^H4725 wherein he built^H1129 high places,^H1116 and set up^H5975 the Asherim^H842 and the graven images,^H6456 before^H6440 he humbled^H3665 himself: behold, they are written^H3789 in the history^H1697 of Hozai.^H2374

and he did^H6213 that which was evil^H7451 in the sight^H5869 of Jehovah^H3068 his God;^H430 he humbled^H3665 not himself before^H6440 Jeremiah^H3414 the prophet^H5030 [speaking] from the mouth^H6310 of Jehovah.^H3068

All the horns^H7161 of the wicked^H7563 also will I cut off;^H1438 But the horns^H7161 of the righteous^H6662 shall be lifted up.^H7311

In thy name^H8034 do they rejoice^H1523 all the day;^H3117 And in thy righteousness^H6666 are they exalted.^H7311

The lofty^H1365 looks^H5869 of man^H120 shall be brought low,^H8213 and the haughtiness^H7312 of men^H582 shall be bowed down,^H7817 and Jehovah^H3068 alone shall be exalted^H7682 in that day.^H3117

For thus saith^H559 the high^H7311 and lofty One^H5375 that inhabiteth^H7931 eternity,^H5703 whose name^H8034 is Holy:^H6918 I dwell^H7931 in the high^H4791 and holy^H6918 place, with him also that is of a contrite^H1793 and humble^H8217 spirit,^H7307 to revive^H2421 the spirit^H7307 of the humble,^H8217 and to revive^H2421 the heart^H3820 of the contrite.^H1792

They are not humbled^H1792 even unto this day,^H3117 neither have they feared,^H3372 nor walked^H1980 in my law,^H8451 nor in my statutes,^H2708 that I set^H5414 before^H6440 you and before^H6440 your fathers.^H1

Sigh^H584 therefore, thou son^H1121 of man;^H120 with the breaking^H7670 of thy loins^H4975 and with bitterness^H4814 shalt thou sigh^H584 before their eyes.^H5869

He hath showed^H5046 thee, O man,^H120 what is good;^H2896 and what doth Jehovah^H3068 require^H1875 of thee, but to do^H6213 justly,^H4941 and to love^H160 kindness,^H2617 and to walk^H3212 humbly^H6800 with thy God?^H430

He hath put down^G2507 princes^G1413 from^G575 [their] thrones,^G2362 And^G2532 hath exalted^G5312 them of low degree.^G5011

I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 This man^G3778 went down^G2597 to^G1519 his^G846 house^G3624 justified^G1344 rather than^G2228 the other:^G1565 for^G3754 every one^G3956 that^G3588 exalteth^G5312 himself^G1438 shall be humbled;^G5013 but^G1161 he that^G3588 humbleth^G5013 himself^G1438 shall be exalted.^G5312

Or do we^G2070 provoke^G3863 the Lord^G2962 to jealousy?^G3863 are we^G2070 stronger^G2478 than he?^G846

but^{G1161 G5319} in his own^G2398 seasons^G2540 manifested^G5319 his^G846 word^G3056 in^G1722 the message,^G2782 wherewith^G3739 I^G1473 was intrusted^G4100 according to^G2596 the commandment^G2003 of God^G2316 our^G2257 Saviour;^G4990

Humble yourselves^G5013 in the sight of^G1799 the Lord,^G2962 and^G2532 he shall exalt^{G5312 G5312} you.^G5209
