And he cried^H7121 against the altar^H4196 by the word^H1697 of Jehovah,^H3068 and said,^H559 O altar,^H4196 altar,^H4196 thus saith^H559 Jehovah:^H3068 Behold, a son^H1121 shall be born^H3205 unto the house^H1004 of David,^H1732 Josiah^H2977 by name;^H8034 and upon thee shall he sacrifice^H2076 the priests^H3548 of the high places^H1116 that burn incense^H6999 upon thee, and men's^H120 bones^H6106 shall they burn^H8313 upon thee.

He removed^H5493 the high places,^H1116 and brake^H7665 the pillars,^H4676 and cut down^H3772 the Asherah:^H842 and he brake in pieces^H3807 the brazen^H5178 serpent^H5175 that Moses^H4872 had made;^H6213 for unto those days^H3117 the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 did burn incense^H6999 to it; and he called^H7121 it Nehushtan.^H5180

And the king^H4428 commanded^H6680 Hilkiah^H2518 the high^H1419 priest,^H3548 and the priests^H3548 of the second order,^H4932 and the keepers^H8104 of the threshold,^H5592 to bring forth^H3318 out of the temple^H1964 of Jehovah^H3068 all the vessels^H3627 that were made^H6213 for Baal,^H1168 and for the Asherah,^H842 and for all the host^H6635 of heaven,^H8064 and he burned^H8313 them without^H2351 Jerusalem^H3389 in the fields^H7709 of the Kidron,^H6939 and carried^H5375 the ashes^H6083 of them unto Beth-el.^H1008

And David^H1732 said,^H559 Solomon^H8010 my son^H1121 is young^H5288 and tender,^H7390 and the house^H1004 that is to be builded^H1129 for Jehovah^H3068 must be exceeding^H4605 magnificent,^H1431 of fame^H8034 and of glory^H8597 throughout all countries:^H776 I will therefore make preparation^H3559 for it. So David^H1732 prepared^H3559 abundantly^H7230 before^H6440 his death.^H4194

And David^H1732 the king^H4428 said^H559 unto all the assembly,^H6951 Solomon^H8010 my son,^H1121 whom alone^H259 God^H430 hath chosen,^H977 is yet young^H5288 and tender,^H7390 and the work^H4399 is great;^H1419 for the palace^H1002 is not for man,^H120 but for Jehovah^H3068 God.^H430

and he went out^H3318 to meet^H6440 Asa,^H609 and said^H559 unto him, Hear^H8085 ye me, Asa,^H609 and all Judah^H3063 and Benjamin:^H1144 Jehovah^H3068 is with you, while ye are with him; and if ye seek^H1875 him, he will be found^H4672 of you; but if ye forsake^H5800 him, he will forsake^H5800 you.

And he took away^H5493 the foreign^H5236 gods,^H430 and the idol^H5566 out of the house^H1004 of Jehovah,^H3068 and all the altars^H4196 that he had built^H1129 in the mount^H2022 of the house^H1004 of Jehovah,^H3068 and in Jerusalem,^H3389 and cast^H7993 them out^H2351 of the city.^H5892

And he did^H6213 that which was evil^H7451 in the sight^H5869 of Jehovah,^H3068 as did^H6213 Manasseh^H4519 his father;^H1 and Amon^H526 sacrificed^H2076 unto all the graven images^H6456 which Manasseh^H4519 his father^H1 had made,^H6213 and served^H5647 them.

BETH. Wherewith shall a young man^H5288 cleanse^H2135 his way?^H734 By taking heed^H8104 [thereto] according to thy word.^H1697

Even a child^H5288 maketh himself known^H5234 by his doings,^H4611 Whether his work^H6467 be pure,^H2134 and whether it be right.^H3477

But^G1161 seek ye^G2212 first^G4412 his^G846 kingdom,^G932 and^G2532 his^G846 righteousness;^G1343 and^G2532 all^G3956 these things^G5023 shall be added^G4369 unto you.^G5213
