Neither is it beyond^H5676 the sea,^H3220 that thou shouldest say,^H559 Who shall go^H5674 over^H5676 the sea^H3220 for us, and bring^H3947 it unto us, and make us to hear^H8085 it, that we may do^H6213 it?

Behold, his soul^H5315 is puffed up,^H6075 it is not upright^H3474 in him; but the righteous^H6662 shall live^H2421 by his faith.^H530

for^G1063 Herod^G2264 feared^G5399 John,^G2491 knowing^G1492 that he^G846 was a righteous^G1342 and^G2532 holy^G40 man,^G435 and^G2532 kept^G4933 him^G846 safe. And^G2532 when he heard^G191 him,^G846 he was much^G4183 perplexed;^G4160 and^G2532 he heard^G191 him^G846 gladly.^G2234

And^G2532 behold,^G2400 there was^G2258 a man^G444 in^G1722 Jerusalem,^G2419 whose^G3739 name^G3686 was Simeon;^G4826 and^G2532 this^G3778 man^G444 was righteous^G1342 and^G2532 devout,^G2126 looking^G4327 for the consolation^G3874 of Israel:^G2474 and^G2532 the^G4151 Holy^G40 Spirit^G4151 was^G2258 upon^G1909 him.^G846

And^G2532 behold,^G2400 a man^G435 named^G3686 Joseph,^G5225 who was a councillor,^G1010 a good^G18 and^G2532 righteous^G1342 man^G435

It is^G2076 the spirit^G4151 that giveth life;^G2227 the flesh^G4561 profiteth^G5623 nothing:^G3762 the words^G4487 that^G3739 I^G1473 have spoken^G2980 unto you^G5213 are^G2076 spirit,^G4151 and^G2532 are^G2076 life.^G2222

Verily,^G281 verily,^G281 I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 he that^G3588 receiveth^{G2983 G5100} whomsoever^G1437 I send^G3992 receiveth^G2983 me;^G1691 and^G1161 he that^G3588 receiveth^G2983 me^G1691 receiveth^G2983 him that^G3588 sent^G3992 me.^G3165

Neither^G3756 for^G4012 these^G5130 only^G3440 do I^G2065 pray, but^G235 for^G4012 them^G3588 also^G2532 that believe^G4100 on^G1519 me^G1691 through^G1223 their^G846 word;^G3056

a devout^G2152 man, and^G2532 one that feared^G5399 God^G2316 with^G4862 all^G3956 his^G846 house,^G3624 who^G5037 gave^G4160 much^G4183 alms^G1654 to the people,^G2992 and^G2532 prayed^G1189 to God^G2316 always.^G1275

For^G1063 therein^{G1722 G846} is^G601 revealed^G601 a righteousness^G1343 of God^G2316 from^G1537 faith^G4102 unto^G1519 faith:^G4102 as^G2531 it is written,^G1125 But the righteous^G1342 shall live^G2198 by^G1537 faith.^G4102

But^G1161 all things^G3956 are of^G1537 God,^G2316 who^G3588 reconciled^G2644 us^G2248 to himself^G1438 through^{G1223 G2424} Christ,^G5547 and^G2532 gave^G1325 unto us^G2254 the ministry^G1248 of reconciliation;^G2643

But^G2532 my righteous^G1342 one shall live^G2198 by^G1537 faith:^G4102 And^G2532 if^G1437 he shrink back,^G5288 my^G3450 soul^G5590 hath^G2106 no^G3756 pleasure^G2106 in^G1722 him.^G846

to the general assembly^G3831 and^G2532 church^G1577 of the firstborn^G4416 who are enrolled^G583 in^G1722 heaven,^G3772 and^G2532 to God^G2316 the Judge^G2923 of all,^G3956 and^G2532 to the spirits^G4151 of just men^G1342 made perfect,^G5048

Demetrius^G1216 hath the witness^G3140 of^G5259 all^G3956 [men], and^G2532 of^G5259 the truth^G225 itself:^G846 yea,^{G1161 G2532} we^G2249 also bear witness:^G3140 and^G2532 thou knowest^G1492 that^G3754 our^G2257 witness^G3141 is^G2076 true.^G227
