And thou shalt take^H3947 no bribe:^H7810 for a bribe^H7810 blindeth^H5786 them that have sight,^H6493 and perverteth^H5557 the words^H1697 of the righteous.^H6662

And his sons^H1121 walked^H1980 not in his ways,^H1870 but turned aside^H5186 after^H310 lucre,^H1215 and took^H3947 bribes,^H7810 and perverted^H5186 justice.^H4941

Now therefore let the fear^H6343 of Jehovah^H3068 be upon you; take heed^H8104 and do^H6213 it: for there is no iniquity^H5766 with Jehovah^H3068 our God,^H430 nor respect^H4856 of persons,^H6440 nor taking^H4727 of bribes.^H7810

Gather^H622 not my soul^H5315 with sinners,^H2400 Nor my life^H2416 with men^H582 of blood;^H1818

A wicked^H7563 man receiveth^H3947 a bribe^H7810 out of the bosom,^H2436 To pervert^H5186 the ways^H734 of justice.^H4941

The king^H4428 by justice^H4941 establisheth^H5975 the land;^H776 But he^H376 that exacteth gifts^H8641 overthroweth^H2040 it.

He that walketh^H1980 righteously,^H6666 and speaketh^H1696 uprightly;^H4339 he that despiseth^H3988 the gain^H1215 of oppressions,^H4642 that shaketh^H5287 his hands^H3709 from taking^H8551 a bribe,^H7810 that stoppeth^H331 his ears^H241 from hearing^H8085 of blood,^H1818 and shutteth^H6105 his eyes^H5869 from looking^H7200 upon evil:^H7451

Her princes^H8269 in the midst^H7130 thereof are like wolves^H2061 ravening^H2963 the prey,^H2964 to shed^H8210 blood,^H1818 [and] to destroy^H6 souls,^H5315 that they may get^H1214 dishonest gain.^H1215

Their drink^H5435 is become sour;^H5493 they play the harlot^H2181 continually;^H2181 her rulers^H4043 dearly^H3051 love^H157 shame.^H7036

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah:^H3068 For three^H7969 transgressions^H6588 of Israel,^H3478 yea, for four,^H702 I will not turn away^H7725 the punishment thereof; because they have sold^H4376 the righteous^H6662 for silver,^H3701 and the needy^H34 for a pair of shoes—^H5275

Their hands^H3709 are upon that which is evil^H7451 to do it diligently;^H3190 the prince^H8269 asketh,^H7592 and the judge^H8199 [is ready] for a reward;^H7966 and the great^H1419 man, he uttereth^H1696 the evil^H1942 desire^H5315 of his soul: thus they weave^H5686 it together.

Now^G1161 after^G1223 some^G4119 years^G2094 I came^G3854 to bring^G4160 alms^G1654 to^G1519 my^G3450 nation,^G1484 and^G2532 offerings:^G4376

For^G1063 this^G5124 ye know^G1097 of a surety,^G2075 that^G3754 no^G3956 fornicator,^G4205 nor^G2228 unclean person,^G169 nor^G2228 covetous man,^G4123 who^G3739 is^G2076 an idolater,^G1496 hath^G2192 any^G3756 inheritance^G2817 in^G1722 the kingdom^G932 of Christ^G5547 and^G2532 God.^G2316

And^G2532 in^G1722 covetousness^G4124 shall they^G1710 with feigned^G4112 words^G3056 make merchandise^G1710 of you:^G5209 whose^G3739 sentence^G2917 now^G691 from of old^G1597 lingereth^G691 not,^G3756 and^G2532 their^G846 destruction^G684 slumbereth^G3573 not.^G3756
