And Jehovah^H3068 said^H559 unto Samuel,^H8050 Hearken^H8085 unto the voice^H6963 of the people^H5971 in all that they say^H559 unto thee; for they have not rejected^H3988 thee, but they have rejected^H3988 me, that I should not be king^H4427 over them.

And he said,^H559 I have been very^H7065 jealous^H7065 for Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of hosts;^H6635 for the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 have forsaken^H5800 thy covenant,^H1285 thrown down^H2040 thine altars,^H4196 and slain^H2026 thy prophets^H5030 with the sword;^H2719 and I, even I only, am left;^H3498 and they seek^H1245 my life,^H5315 to take it away.^H3947

but they mocked^H3931 the messengers^H4397 of God,^H430 and despised^H959 his words,^H1697 and scoffed^H8591 at his prophets,^H5030 until the wrath^H2534 of Jehovah^H3068 arose^H5927 against his people,^H5971 till there was no remedy.^H4832

In vain^H7723 have I smitten^H5221 your children;^H1121 they received^H3947 no correction:^H4148 your own sword^H2719 hath devoured^H398 your prophets,^H5030 like a destroying^H7843 lion.^H738

Only know^H3045 ye for certain^H3045 that, if ye put me to death,^H4191 ye will bring^H5414 innocent^H5355 blood^H1818 upon yourselves, and upon this city,^H5892 and upon the inhabitants^H3427 thereof; for of a truth^H571 Jehovah^H3068 hath sent^H7971 me unto you to speak^H1696 all these words^H1697 in your ears.^H241

Rejoice^H1523 greatly,^H3966 O daughter^H1323 of Zion;^H6726 shout,^H7321 O daughter^H1323 of Jerusalem:^H3389 behold, thy king^H4428 cometh^H935 unto thee; he is just,^H6662 and having salvation;^H3467 lowly,^H6041 and riding^H7392 upon an ass,^H2543 even upon a colt^H5895 the foal^H1121 of an ass.^H860

And^G2532 the husbandmen^G1092 took^G2983 his^G846 servants,^G1401 and beat^G1194 one,^G3303 and^G1161 killed^G615 another,^G3739 and^G1161 stoned^G3036 another.^G3739

Woe^G3759 unto you!^G5213 for^G3754 ye build^G3618 the tombs^G3419 of the prophets,^G4396 and^G1161 your^G5216 fathers^G3962 killed^G615 them.^G846

him,^G5126 being delivered^G1560 up by the^G1012 determinate^G3724 counsel^G1012 and^G2532 foreknowledge^G4268 of God,^G2316 ye by^G1223 the hand^G5495 of lawless^G459 men did^G2983 crucify^G4362 and slay:^G337

But^G1161 the things^G3588 which^G3739 God^G2316 foreshowed^G4293 by^G1223 the mouth^G4750 of all^G3956 the prophets,^G4396 that^G3958 his^G846 Christ^G5547 should suffer,^G3958 he ^G4137 thus^G3779 fulfilled.^G4137

be it^G2077 known^G1110 unto you^G5213 all,^G3956 and^G2532 to all^G3956 the people^G2992 of Israel,^G2474 that^G3754 in^G1722 the name^G3686 of Jesus^G2424 Christ^G5547 of Nazareth,^G3480 whom^G3739 ye^G5210 crucified,^G4717 whom^G3739 God^G2316 raised^G1453 from^G1537 the dead,^G3498 [even] in^G1722 him doth^G3936 this^G5129 man^G3778 stand here^G3936 before^G1799 you^G5216 whole.^G5199

And^G1161 he said,^G2036 The God^G2316 of our^G2257 fathers^G3962 hath appointed^G4400 thee^G4571 to know^G1097 his^G846 will,^G2307 and^G2532 to see^G1492 the^G3588 Righteous One,^G1342 and^G2532 to hear^G191 a voice^G5456 from^G1537 his^G846 mouth.^G4750

searching^{G2045 G1519} what^G5101 [time] or^G2228 what manner of^G4169 time^G2540 the Spirit^G4151 of Christ^G5547 which^G3588 was in^G1722 them^G846 did point^G1213 unto, when it testified^G4303 beforehand the sufferings^G3804 of^G1519 Christ,^G5547 and^G2532 the glories^G1391 that^G5023 should follow^G3326 them.
