And it came to pass, when Joshua^H3091 was by Jericho,^H3405 that he lifted up^H5375 his eyes^H5869 and looked,^H7200 and, behold, there stood^H5975 a man^H376 over against him with his sword^H2719 drawn^H8025 in his hand:^H3027 and Joshua^H3091 went^H3212 unto him, and said^H559 unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?^H6862

Thus saith^H559 Cyrus^H3566 king^H4428 of Persia,^H6539 All the kingdoms^H4467 of the earth^H776 hath Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of heaven,^H8064 given^H5414 me; and he hath charged^H6485 me to build^H1129 him a house^H1004 in Jerusalem,^H3389 which is in Judah.^H3063

in the third^H7969 year^H8141 of his reign,^H4427 he made^H6213 a feast^H4960 unto all his princes^H8269 and his servants;^H5650 the power^H2428 of Persia^H6539 and Media,^H4074 the nobles^H6579 and princes^H8269 of the provinces,^H4082 being before^H6440 him;

A grievous^H7186 vision^H2380 is declared^H5046 unto me; the treacherous man^H898 dealeth treacherously,^H898 and the destroyer^H7703 destroyeth.^H7703 Go up,^H5927 O Elam;^H5867 besiege,^H6696 O Media;^H4074 all the sighing^H585 thereof have I made to cease.^H7673

Make sharp^H1305 the arrows;^H2671 hold firm^H4390 the shields:^H7982 Jehovah^H3068 hath stirred up^H5782 the spirit^H7307 of the kings^H4428 of the Medes;^H4074 because his purpose^H4209 is against Babylon,^H894 to destroy^H7843 it: for it is the vengeance^H5360 of Jehovah,^H3068 the vengeance^H5360 of his temple.^H1964

And Darius^H1868 the Mede^H4077 received^H6902 the kingdom,^H4437 being about threescore^H8361 and two^H8648 years^H8140 old.^H1247
