1 W hen a manH376 takethH3947 a wife,H802 and marriethH1166 her, then it shall be, if she findH4672 no favorH2580 in his eyes,H5869 because he hath foundH4672 someH1697 unseemlyH6172 thing in her, that he shall writeH3789 her a billH5612 of divorcement,H3748 and giveH5414 it in her hand,H3027 and sendH7971 her out of his house.H1004

2 And when she is departed outH3318 of his house,H1004 she may goH1980 and be anotherH312 man'sH376 [wife].

3 And if the latterH314 husbandH376 hateH8130 her, and writeH3789 her a billH5612 of divorcement,H3748 and giveH5414 it in her hand,H3027 and sendH7971 her out of his house;H1004 or if the latterH314 husbandH376 die,H4191 who tookH3947 her to be his wife;H802

4 her formerH7223 husband,H1167 who sent her away,H7971 mayH3201 not takeH3947 her againH7725 to be his wife,H802 afterH310 that she is defiled;H2930 for that is abominationH8441 beforeH6440 Jehovah:H3068 and thou shalt not cause the landH776 to sin,H2398 which JehovahH3068 thy GodH430 givethH5414 thee for an inheritance.H5159

5 When a manH376 takethH3947 a newH2319 wife,H802 he shall not go outH3318 in the host,H6635 neither shall he be chargedH5674 with any business:H1697 he shall be freeH5355 at homeH1004 oneH259 year,H8141 and shall cheerH8055 his wifeH802 whom he hath taken.H3947

6 No man shall takeH2254 the millH7347 or the upper millstoneH7393 to pledge;H2254 for he takethH2254 [a man's] lifeH5315 to pledge.H2254

7 If a manH376 be foundH4672 stealingH1589 anyH5315 of his brethrenH251 of the childrenH1121 of Israel,H3478 and he dealH6014 with him as a slave, or sellH4376 him; then that thiefH1590 shall die:H4191 so shalt thou putH1197 awayH1197 the evilH7451 from the midstH7130 of thee.

8 Take heedH8104 in the plagueH5061 of leprosy,H6883 that thou observeH8104 diligently,H3966 and doH6213 according to all that the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881 shall teachH3384 you: as I commandedH6680 them, so ye shall observeH8104 to do.H6213

9 RememberH2142 what JehovahH3068 thy GodH430 didH6213 unto Miriam,H4813 by the wayH1870 as ye came forthH3318 out of Egypt.H4714

10 When thou dost lendH5383 thy neighborH7453 anyH3972 mannerH4859 of loan, thou shalt not goH935 into his houseH1004 to fetchH5670 his pledge.H5667

11 Thou shalt standH5975 without,H2351 and the manH376 to whom thou dost lendH5383 shall bring forthH3318 the pledgeH5667 withoutH2351 unto thee.

12 And if he be a poorH6041 man,H376 thou shalt not sleepH7901 with his pledge;H5667

13 thou shalt surelyH7725 restoreH7725 to himH7725 the pledgeH5667 when the sunH8121 goeth down,H935 that he may sleepH7901 in his garment,H8008 and blessH1288 thee: and it shall be righteousnessH6666 unto thee beforeH6440 JehovahH3068 thy God.H430

14 Thou shalt not oppressH6231 a hired servantH7916 that is poorH6041 and needy,H34 whether he be of thy brethren,H251 or of thy sojournersH1616 that are in thy landH776 within thy gates:H8179

15 in his dayH3117 thou shalt giveH5414 him his hire,H7939 neither shall the sunH8121 go downH935 upon it; for he is poor,H6041 and settethH5375 his heartH5315 upon it: lest he cryH7121 against thee unto Jehovah,H3068 and it be sinH2399 unto thee.

16 The fathersH1 shall not be put to deathH4191 for the children,H1121 neither shall the childrenH1121 be put to deathH4191 for the fathers:H1 every manH376 shall be put to deathH4191 for his own sin.H2399

17 Thou shalt not wrestH5186 the justiceH4941 [due] to the sojourner,H1616 [or] to the fatherless,H3490 nor takeH2254 the widow'sH490 raimentH899 to pledge;H2254

18 but thou shalt rememberH2142 that thou wast a bondmanH5650 in Egypt,H4714 and JehovahH3068 thy GodH430 redeemedH6299 thee thence: therefore I commandH6680 thee to doH6213 this thing.H1697

19 When thou reapestH7114 thy harvestH7105 in thy field,H7704 and hast forgotH7911 a sheafH6016 in the field,H7704 thou shalt not go againH7725 to fetchH3947 it: it shall be for the sojourner,H1616 for the fatherless,H3490 and for the widow;H490 that JehovahH3068 thy GodH430 may blessH1288 thee in all the workH4639 of thy hands.H3027

20 When thou beatestH2251 thine olive-tree,H2132 thou shalt not go over the boughsH6286 again:H310 it shall be for the sojourner,H1616 for the fatherless,H3490 and for the widow.H490

21 When thou gatherestH1219 [the grapes of] thy vineyard,H3754 thou shalt not gleanH5953 it afterH310 thee: it shall be for the sojourner,H1616 for the fatherless,H3490 and for the widow.H490

22 And thou shalt rememberH2142 that thou wast a bondmanH5650 in the landH776 of Egypt:H4714 therefore I commandH6680 thee to doH6213 this thing.H1697
