Behold, thou hast made^H5414 my days^H3117 [as] handbreadths;^H2947 And my life-time^H2465 is as nothing before thee: Surely every^H3605 man^H120 at his best estate^H5324 is altogether^H3605 vanity.^{H1892 H5542}

Man^H120 is like^H1819 to vanity:^H1892 His days^H3117 are as a shadow^H6738 that passeth away.^H5674

Then I looked^H6437 on all the works^H4639 that my hands^H3027 had wrought,^H6213 and on the labor^H5999 that I had labored^H5999 to do;^H6213 and, behold, all was vanity^H1892 and a striving^H7469 after wind,^H7307 and there was no profit^H3504 under the sun.^H8121

So I hated^H8130 life,^H2416 because the work^H4639 that is wrought^H6213 under the sun^H8121 was grievous^H7451 unto me; for all is vanity^H1892 and a striving^H7469 after wind.^H7307

For there is^H3426 a man^H120 whose labor^H5999 is with wisdom,^H2451 and with knowledge,^H1847 and with skilfulness;^H3788 yet to a man^H120 that hath not labored^H5998 therein shall he leave^H5414 it for his portion.^H2506 This also is vanity^H1892 and a great^H7227 evil.^H7451

For to the man^H120 that pleaseth^H2896 him^H6440 [God] giveth^H5414 wisdom,^H2451 and knowledge,^H1847 and joy;^H8057 but to the sinner^H2398 he giveth^H5414 travail,^H6045 to gather^H622 and to heap up,^H3664 that he may give^H5414 to him that^H6440 pleaseth^H2896 God.^H430 This also is vanity^H1892 and a striving^H7469 after wind.^H7307

Then I saw^H7200 all labor^H5999 and every skilful^H3788 work,^H4639 that for this a man^H376 is envied^H7068 of his neighbor.^H7453 This also is vanity^H1892 and a striving^H7469 after wind.^H7307

There was no end^H7093 of all the people,^H5971 even of all them over whom he was:^H6440 yet they that come after^H314 shall not rejoice^H8055 in him. Surely this also is vanity^H1892 and a striving^H7475 after wind.^H7307

Seeing there are^H3426 many^H7235 things^H1697 that increase^H7235 vanity,^H1892 what is man^H120 the better?^H3148

Therefore remove^H5493 sorrow^H3708 from thy heart,^H3820 and put away^H5674 evil^H7451 from thy flesh;^H1320 for youth^H3208 and the dawn^H7839 of life are vanity.^H1892

For^G1063 the creation^G2937 was subjected^G5293 to vanity,^G3153 not^G3756 of^G1223 its own will, but^G235 by reason of^G1223 him who subjected^G5293 it, in^G1909 hope^G1680
