Thou shalt not make^H6213 unto thee a graven image,^H6459 nor any likeness^H8544 [of any thing] that^H834 is in heaven^H8064 above,^H4605 or that is in the earth^H776 beneath, or that is in the water^H4325 under the earth:^H776

And thou shalt take^H3947 two^H8147 onyx^H7718 stones,^H68 and grave^H6605 on them the names^H8034 of the children^H1121 of Israel:^H3478

And when the people^H5971 saw^H7200 that Moses^H4872 delayed^H954 to come down^H3381 from the mount,^H2022 the people^H5971 gathered themselves together^H6950 unto Aaron,^H175 and said^H559 unto him, Up,^H6965 make^H6213 us gods,^H430 which shall go^H3212 before^H6440 us; for as for this Moses,^H4872 the man^H376 that brought^H5927 us up out of the land^H776 of Egypt,^H4714 we know^H3045 not what is become of him.

And I looked,^H7200 and, behold, ye had sinned^H2398 against Jehovah^H3068 your God;^H430 ye had made^H6213 you a molten^H4541 calf:^H5695 ye had turned aside^H5493 quickly^H4118 out of the way^H1870 which Jehovah^H3068 had commanded^H6680 you.

And Gideon^H1439 made^H6213 an ephod^H646 thereof, and put^H3322 it in his city,^H5892 even in Ophrah:^H6084 and all Israel^H3478 played the harlot^H2181 after^H310 it there; and it became a snare^H4170 unto Gideon,^H1439 and to his house.^H1004

Whereupon the king^H4428 took counsel,^H3289 and made^H6213 two^H8147 calves^H5695 of gold;^H2091 and he said^H559 unto them, It is too much^H7227 for you to go up^H5927 to Jerusalem:^H3389 behold thy gods,^H430 O Israel,^H3478 which brought thee up^H5927 out of the land^H776 of Egypt.^H4714

Howbeit from the sins^H2399 of Jeroboam^H3379 the son^H1121 of Nebat,^H5028 wherewith he made Israel^H3478 to sin,^H2398 Jehu^H3058 departed^H5493 not from after^H310 them, [to wit], the golden^H2091 calves^H5695 that were in Beth-el,^H1008 and that were in Dan.^H1835

And now ye think^H559 to withstand^H2388 the kingdom^H6440 of Jehovah^H3068 in the hand^H3027 of the sons^H1121 of David;^H1732 and ye are a great^H7227 multitude,^H1995 and there are with you the golden^H2091 calves^H5695 which Jeroboam^H3379 made^H6213 you for gods.^H430

They made^H6213 a calf^H5695 in Horeb,^H2722 And worshipped^H7812 a molten image.^H4541

To whom then will ye liken^H1819 God?^H410 or what likeness^H1823 will ye compare^H6186 unto him?

Such as lavish^H2107 gold^H2091 out of the bag,^H3599 and weigh^H8254 silver^H3701 in the balance,^H7070 they hire^H7936 a goldsmith,^H6884 and he maketh^H6213 it a god;^H410 they fall down,^H5456 yea, they worship.^H7812

The inhabitants^H7934 of Samaria^H8111 shall be in terror^H1481 for the calves^H5697 of Beth-aven;^H1007 for the people^H5971 thereof shall mourn^H56 over it, and the priests^H3649 thereof that rejoiced^H1523 over it, for the glory^H3519 thereof, because it is departed^H1540 from it.

And^G2532 they made a calf^G3447 in^G1722 those^G1565 days,^G2250 and^G2532 brought^G321 a sacrifice^G2378 unto the idol,^G1497 and^G2532 rejoiced^G2165 in^G1722 the works^G2041 of their^G846 hands.^G5495

because that,^G1360 knowing^G1097 God,^G2316 they glorified^G1392 him not^G3756 as^G5613 God,^G2316 neither^G2228 gave thanks;^G2168 but^G235 became vain^G3154 in^G1722 their^G846 reasonings,^G1261 and^G2532 their^G846 senseless^G801 heart^G2588 was darkened.^G4654
