But will God^H430 in very deed^H552 dwell^H3427 on the earth?^H776 behold, heaven^H8064 and the heaven^H8064 of heavens^H8064 cannot contain^H3557 thee; how much less^H637 this house^H1004 that I have builded!^H1129

and he said^H560 unto him, Take^H5376 these^H412 vessels,^H3984 go,^H236 put^H1994 them^H1994 in the temple^H1965 that is in Jerusalem,^H3390 and let the house^H1005 of God^H426 be builded^H1124 in^H5922 its place.^H870

that they may offer^H1934 sacrifices of sweet savor^H5208 unto the God^H426 of heaven,^H8065 and pray^H6739 for the life^H2417 of the king,^H4430 and of his sons.^H1123

And it came to pass, when I heard^H8085 these words,^H1697 that I sat down^H3427 and wept,^H1058 and mourned^H56 certain days;^H3117 and I fasted^H6684 and prayed^H6419 before^H6440 the God^H430 of heaven,^H8064

Thou hast forgiven^H5375 the iniquity^H5771 of thy people;^H5971 Thou hast covered^H3680 all their sin.^H2403 Selah^H5542

Who hath raised up^H5782 one from the east,^H4217 whom he calleth^H7121 in righteousness^H6664 to his foot?^H7272 he giveth^H5414 nations^H1471 before^H6440 him, and maketh him rule^H7287 over kings;^H4428 he giveth^H5414 them as the dust^H6083 to his sword,^H2719 as the driven^H5086 stubble^H7179 to his bow.^H7198

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 to his anointed,^H4899 to Cyrus,^H3566 whose right hand^H3225 I have holden,^H2388 to subdue^H7286 nations^H1471 before^H6440 him, and I will loose^H6605 the loins^H4975 of kings;^H4428 to open^H6605 the doors^H1817 before^H6440 him, and the gates^H1817 shall not be shut:^H5462

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 Heaven^H8064 is my throne,^H3678 and the earth^H776 is my footstool:^H7272 what manner of house^H1004 will ye build^H1129 unto me? and what place^H4725 shall be my rest?^H4496

I have made^H6213 the earth,^H776 the men^H120 and the beasts^H929 that are upon^H6440 the face of the earth,^H776 by my great^H1419 power^H3581 and by my outstretched^H5186 arm;^H2220 and I give^H5414 it unto whom it seemeth^H5869 right^H3474 unto me.

For thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 After^H6310 seventy^H7657 years^H8141 are accomplished^H4390 for Babylon,^H894 I will visit^H6485 you, and perform^H6965 my good^H2896 word^H1697 toward you, in causing you to return^H7725 to this place.^H4725

And he changeth^H8133 the times^H5732 and the seasons;^H2166 he removeth^H5709 kings,^H4430 and setteth up^H6966 kings;^H4430 he giveth^H3052 wisdom^H2452 unto the wise,^H2445 and knowledge^H4486 to them that have^H3046 understanding;^H999

Thou,^H607 O king,^H4430 art king^H4430 of kings,^H4430 unto whom the God^H426 of heaven^H8065 hath given^H3052 the kingdom,^H4437 the power,^H2632 and the strength,^H8632 and the glory;^H3367

and thou shalt be driven^H2957 from^H4481 men;^H606 and thy dwelling^H4070 shall be with^H5974 the beasts^H2423 of the field;^H1251 thou shalt be made to eat^H2939 grass^H6211 as oxen;^H8450 and seven^H7655 times^H5732 shall pass^H2499 over^H5922 thee; until^H5705 thou know^H3046 that the Most High^H5943 ruleth^H7990 in the kingdom^H4437 of men,^H606 and giveth^H5415 it to whomsoever^H4479 he will.^H6634

but hast lifted up^H7313 thyself against^H5922 the Lord^H4756 of heaven;^H8065 and they have brought^H858 the vessels^H3984 of his house^H1005 before^H6925 thee, and thou^H607 and thy lords,^H7261 thy wives^H7695 and thy concubines,^H3904 have drunk^H8355 wine^H2562 from them; and thou hast praised^H7624 the gods^H426 of silver^H3702 and gold,^H1722 of brass,^H5174 iron,^H6523 wood,^H636 and stone,^H69 which see^H2370 not,^H3809 nor^H3809 hear,^H8086 nor^H3809 know;^H3046 and the God^H426 in whose hand^H3028 thy breath^H5396 is, and whose are all^H3606 thy ways,^H735 hast thou not^H3809 glorified.^H1922
