And he brought him forth^H3318 abroad,^H2351 and said,^H559 Look^H5027 now toward heaven,^H8064 and number^H5608 the stars,^H3556 if thou be able^H3201 to number^H5608 them: and he said^H559 unto him, So^H3541 shall thy seed^H2233 be.

that in blessing^H1288 I will bless^H1288 thee, and in multiplying^H7235 I will multiply^H7235 thy seed^H2233 as the stars^H3556 of the heavens,^H8064 and as the sand^H2344 which is upon the^H3220 seashore;^H8193 and thy seed^H2233 shall possess^H3423 the gate^H8179 of his enemies;^H341

And Jacob^H3290 said,^H559 Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found^H4672 favor^H2580 in thy sight,^H5869 then receive^H3947 my present^H4503 at my hand;^H3027 forasmuch as I have seen^H7200 thy face,^H6440 as one seeth the face^H6440 of God,^H430 and thou wast pleased with me.^H7521

And their father^H1 Israel^H3478 said^H559 unto them, If it be so now,^H645 do^H6213 this: take^H3947 of the choice fruits^H2173 of the land^H776 in your vessels,^H3627 and carry down^H3381 the man^H376 a present,^H4503 a little^H4592 balm,^H6875 and a little^H4592 honey,^H1706 spicery^H5219 and myrrh,^H3910 nuts,^H992 and almonds;^H8247

Ask^H7592 thy young men,^H5288 and they will tell^H5046 thee: wherefore let the young men^H5288 find^H4672 favor^H2580 in thine eyes;^H5869 for we come^H935 in a good^H2896 day:^H3117 give,^H5414 I pray thee, whatsoever cometh^H4672 to thy hand,^H3027 unto thy servants,^H5650 and to thy son^H1121 David.^H1732

Therefore set^H5975 I in the lowest^H8482 parts^H4725 of the space behind^H310 the wall,^H2346 in the open places,^H6706 I set^H5975 [there] the people^H5971 after their families^H4940 with their swords,^H2719 their spears,^H7420 and their bows.^H7198

A man's^H120 gift^H4976 maketh room^H7337 for him, And bringeth^H5148 him before^H6440 great men.^H1419

A gift^H4976 in secret^H5643 pacifieth^H3711 anger;^H639 And a present^H7810 in the bosom,^H2436 strong^H5794 wrath.^H2534
