For before the child^H5288 shall have knowledge^H3045 to cry,^H7121 My father,^H1 and, My mother,^H517 the riches^H2428 of Damascus^H1834 and the spoil^H7998 of Samaria^H8111 shall be carried away^H5375 before^H6440 the king^H4428 of Assyria.^H804

O Ephraim,^H669 what shall I do^H6213 unto thee? O Judah,^H3063 what shall I do^H6213 unto thee? for your goodness^H2617 is as a morning^H1242 cloud,^H6051 and as the dew^H2919 that goeth early^H7925 away.^H1980

Ephraim^H669 is smitten,^H5221 their root^H8328 is dried up,^H3001 they shall bear^H6213 no fruit:^H6529 yea, though they bring forth,^H3205 yet will I slay^H4191 the beloved^H4261 fruit of their womb.^H990

Though he be fruitful^H6500 among his brethren,^H251 an east wind^H6921 shall come,^H935 the breath^H7307 of Jehovah^H3068 coming up^H5927 from the wilderness;^H4057 and his spring^H4726 shall become dry,^H954 and his fountain^H4599 shall be dried up:^H2717 he shall make spoil^H8154 of the treasure^H214 of all goodly^H2532 vessels.^H3627

All thy fortresses^H4013 shall be like fig-trees^H8384 with the first-ripe figs:^H1061 if they be shaken,^H5128 they fall^H5307 into the mouth^H6310 of the eater.^H398

and^G2532 the stars^G792 of the heaven^G3772 fell^G4098 unto^G1519 the earth,^G1093 as^G5613 a fig tree^G4808 casteth^G906 her^G846 unripe figs^G3653 when she is shaken^G4579 of^G5259 a great wind.^G417
