Wherefore Jehovah^H3068 his God^H430 delivered^H5414 him into the hand^H3027 of the king^H4428 of Syria;^H758 and they smote^H5221 him, and carried away^H7617 of his a great multitude^H1419 of captives,^H7633 and brought^H935 them to Damascus.^H1834 And he was also delivered^H5414 into the hand^H3027 of the king^H4428 of Israel,^H3478 who smote^H5221 him with a great^H1419 slaughter.^H4347

He also made^H5674 his children^H1121 to pass through^H5674 the fire^H784 in the valley^H1516 of the son^H1121 of Hinnom;^H2011 and he practised augury,^H6049 and used enchantments,^H5172 and practised sorcery,^H3784 and dealt^H6213 with them that had familiar spirits,^H178 and with wizards:^H3049 he wrought^H6213 much^H7235 evil^H7451 in the sight^H5869 of Jehovah,^H3068 to provoke him to anger.^H3707

Therefore he brought^H5927 upon them the king^H4428 of the Chaldeans,^H3778 who slew^H2026 their young men^H970 with the sword^H2719 in the house^H1004 of their sanctuary,^H4720 and had no compassion^H2550 upon young man^H970 or virgin,^H1330 old man^H2205 or hoary-headed:^H3486 he gave^H5414 them all into his hand.^H3027

Whoso diggeth^H3738 a pit^H7845 shall fall^H5307 therein; And he that rolleth^H1556 a stone,^H68 it shall return^H7725 upon him.

Woe^H1945 unto them that draw^H4900 iniquity^H5771 with cords^H2256 of falsehood,^H7723 and sin^H2403 as it were with a cart^H5699 rope;^H5688

Against whom do ye sport^H6026 yourselves? against whom make ye a wide^H7337 mouth,^H6310 and put out^H748 the tongue?^H3956 are ye not children^H3206 of transgression,^H6588 a seed^H2233 of falsehood,^H8267

And the burden^H4853 of Jehovah^H3068 shall ye mention^H2142 no more: for every man's^H376 own word^H1697 shall be his burden;^H4853 for ye have perverted^H2015 the words^H1697 of the living^H2416 God,^H430 of Jehovah^H3068 of hosts^H6635 our God.^H430

Micah^H4320 the Morashtite^H4183 prophesied^H5012 in the days^H3117 of Hezekiah^H2396 king^H4428 of Judah;^H3063 and he spake^H559 to all the people^H5971 of Judah,^H3063 saying,^H559 Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts:^H6635 Zion^H6726 shall be plowed^H2790 as a field,^H7704 and Jerusalem^H3389 shall become heaps,^H5856 and the mountain^H2022 of the house^H1004 as the high places^H1116 of a forest.^H3293

And, behold, the glory^H3519 of the God^H430 of Israel^H3478 was there, according to the appearance^H4758 that I saw^H7200 in the plain.^H1237

Then he said^H559 unto me, Hast thou seen^H7200 [this], O son^H1121 of man?^H120 Is it a light thing^H7043 to the house^H1004 of Judah^H3063 that they commit^H6213 the abominations^H8441 which they commit^H6213 here? for they have filled^H4390 the land^H776 with violence,^H2555 and have turned^H7725 again to provoke me to anger:^H3707 and, lo, they put^H7971 the branch^H2156 to their nose.^H639

And the pride^H1347 of Israel^H3478 doth testify^H6030 to his face:^H6440 therefore Israel^H3478 and Ephraim^H669 shall stumble^H3782 in their iniquity;^H5771 Judah^H3063 also shall stumble^H3782 with them.

Therefore shall Zion^H6726 for your sake^H1558 be plowed^H2790 as a field,^H7704 and Jerusalem^H3389 shall become heaps,^H5856 and the mountain^H2022 of the house^H1004 as the high places^H1116 of a forest.^H3293

Your words^H1697 have been stout^H2388 against me, saith^H559 Jehovah.^H3068 Yet ye say,^H559 What have we spoken^H1696 against thee?

Or do we^G2070 provoke^G3863 the Lord^G2962 to jealousy?^G3863 are we^G2070 stronger^G2478 than he?^G846
