therefore shalt thou serve^H5647 thine enemies^H341 that Jehovah^H3068 shall send^H7971 against thee, in hunger,^H7458 and in thirst,^H6772 and in nakedness,^H5903 and in want^H2640 of all things: and he shall put^H5414 a yoke^H5923 of iron^H1270 upon thy neck,^H6677 until he have destroyed^H8045 thee.

to go^H935 into the caverns^H5585 of the rocks,^H6697 and into the clefts^H5366 of the ragged rocks,^H5553 from before^H6440 the terror^H6343 of Jehovah,^H3068 and from the glory^H1926 of his majesty,^H1347 when he ariseth^H6965 to shake mightily^H6206 the earth.^H776

In their streets^H2351 they gird^H2296 themselves with sackcloth;^H8242 on their housetops,^H1406 and in their broad^H7339 places, every one waileth,^H3213 weeping^H1065 abundantly.^H3381

Therefore said^H559 I, Look away^H8159 from me, I will weep^H1065 bitterly;^H4843 labor^H213 not to comfort^H5162 me for the destruction^H7701 of the daughter^H1323 of my people.^H5971

Come down,^H3381 and sit^H3427 in the dust,^H6083 O virgin^H1330 daughter^H1323 of Babylon;^H894 sit^H3427 on the ground^H776 without a throne,^H3678 O daughter^H1323 of the Chaldeans:^H3778 for thou shalt no more^H3254 be called^H7121 tender^H7390 and delicate.^H6028

O daughter^H1323 of my people,^H5971 gird^H2296 thee with sackcloth,^H8242 and wallow^H6428 thyself in ashes:^H665 make^H6213 thee mourning,^H60 as for an only son,^H3173 most bitter^H8563 lamentation;^H4553 for the destroyer^H7703 shall suddenly^H6597 come^H935 upon us.

lest I strip^H6584 her naked,^H6174 and set^H3322 her as in the day^H3117 that she was born,^H3205 and make^H7760 her as a wilderness,^H4057 and set^H7896 her like a dry^H6723 land,^H776 and slay^H4191 her with thirst.^H6772

For this will I lament^H5594 and wail;^H5594 I will go^H3212 stripped^H7758 and naked;^H6174 I will make^H6213 a wailing^H4553 like the jackals,^H8577 and a lamentation^H60 like the ostriches.^H1323

Ye have lived delicately^G5171 on^G1909 the earth,^G1093 and^G2532 taken your pleasure;^G5171 ye have nourished^G5142 your^G5216 hearts^{G2588 G5613} in^G1722 a day^G2250 of slaughter.^G4967
