Now therefore give^H5414 me this hill-country,^H2022 whereof Jehovah^H3068 spake^H1696 in that day;^H3117 for thou heardest^H8085 in that day^H3117 how the Anakim^H6062 were there, and cities^H5892 great^H1419 and fortified:^H1219 it may be that Jehovah^H3068 will be^H194 with^H854 me, and I shall drive them out,^H3423 as Jehovah^H3068 spake.^H1696

And all the people^H5971 said^H559 unto Samuel,^H8050 Pray^H6419 for thy servants^H5650 unto Jehovah^H3068 thy God,^H430 that we die^H4191 not; for we have added^H3254 unto all our sins^H2403 [this] evil,^H7451 to ask^H7592 us a king.^H4428

And Jonathan^H3083 said^H559 to the young man^H5288 that bare^H5375 his armor,^H3627 Come,^H3212 and let us go over^H5674 unto the garrison^H4673 of these uncircumcised:^H6189 it may be that Jehovah^H3068 will work^H6213 for us; for there is no restraint^H4622 to Jehovah^H3068 to save^H3467 by many^H7227 or by few.^H4592

Thy servant^H5650 smote^H5221 both the lion^H738 and the bear:^H1677 and this uncircumcised^H6189 Philistine^H6430 shall be as one^H259 of them, seeing he hath defied^H2778 the armies^H4634 of the living^H2416 God.^H430

It may be^H194 Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 will hear^H8085 all the words^H1697 of Rabshakeh,^H7262 whom the king^H4428 of Assyria^H804 his master^H113 hath sent^H7971 to defy^H2778 the living^H2416 God,^H430 and will rebuke^H3198 the words^H1697 which Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 hath heard:^H8085 wherefore lift up^H5375 thy prayer^H8605 for the remnant^H7611 that is left.^H4672

For Jehovah^H3068 brought^H3665 Judah^H3063 low^H3665 because of Ahaz^H271 king^H4428 of Israel;^H3478 for he had dealt^H6544 wantonly^H6544 in Judah,^H3063 and trespassed^H4603 sore^H4604 against Jehovah.^H3068

Go^H3212 ye, inquire^H1875 of Jehovah^H3068 for me, and for them that are left^H7604 in Israel^H3478 and in Judah,^H3063 concerning the words^H1697 of the book^H5612 that is found;^H4672 for great^H1419 is the wrath^H2534 of Jehovah^H3068 that is poured out^H5413 upon us, because our fathers^H1 have not kept^H8104 the word^H1697 of Jehovah,^H3068 to do^H6213 according unto all that is written^H3789 in this book.^H5612

Therefore he said^H559 that he would destroy^H8045 them, Had not^H3884 Moses^H4872 his chosen^H972 stood^H5975 before^H6440 him in the breach,^H6556 To turn away^H7725 his wrath,^H2534 lest he should destroy^H7843 [them].

Except^H3884 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts^H6635 had left^H3498 unto us a very small^H4592 remnant,^H8300 we should have been^H1961 as Sodom,^H5467 we should have been like^H1819 unto Gomorrah.^H6017

Ho Assyrian,^H804 the rod^H7626 of^H1945 mine anger,^H639 the staff^H4294 in whose hand^H3027 is mine indignation!^H2195

Then Rabshakeh^H7262 stood,^H5975 and cried^H7121 with a loud^H1419 voice^H6963 in the Jews' language,^H3066 and said,^H559 Hear^H8085 ye the words^H1697 of the great^H1419 king,^H4428 the king^H4428 of Assyria.^H804

Who are they among all the gods^H430 of these countries,^H776 that have delivered^H5337 their country^H776 out of my hand,^H3027 that Jehovah^H3068 should deliver^H5337 Jerusalem^H3389 out of my hand?^H3027

Fear^H3372 not, thou worm^H8438 Jacob,^H3290 and ye men^H4962 of Israel;^H3478 I will help^H5826 thee, saith^H5002 Jehovah,^H3068 and thy Redeemer^H1350 is the Holy One^H6918 of Israel.^H3478

and said^H559 unto Jeremiah^H3414 the prophet,^H5030 Let, we pray thee, our supplication^H8467 be presented^H5307 before^H6440 thee, and pray^H6419 for us unto Jehovah^H3068 thy God,^H430 even for all this remnant;^H7611 for we are left^H7604 but a few^H4592 of many,^H7235 as thine eyes^H5869 do behold^H7200 us:

Hate^H8130 the evil,^H7451 and love^H157 the good,^H2896 and establish^H3322 justice^H4941 in the gate:^H8179 it may be that Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of hosts,^H6635 will be gracious^H2603 unto the remnant^H7611 of Joseph.^H3130

Confess^G1843 therefore your sins^G3900 one to another,^G240 and^G2532 pray^G2172 one^G240 for^G5228 another,^G240 that^G3704 ye may be healed.^G2390 The ^G1754 supplication^G1162 of a righteous man^G1342 availeth^G2480 much^G4183 in its working.
