Thou carriest them away as with a flood;^H2229 they are as a sleep:^H8142 In the morning^H1242 they are like grass^H2682 which groweth up.^H2498

When the wicked^H7563 spring^H6524 as the grass,^H6212 And when all the workers^H6466 of iniquity^H205 do flourish;^H6692 It is that they shall be destroyed^H8045 for ever.^H5703

As for man,^H582 his days^H3117 are as grass;^H2682 As a flower^H6731 of the field,^H7704 so he flourisheth.^H6692

Cry aloud^H6670 and shout,^H7442 thou inhabitant^H3427 of Zion;^H6726 for great^H1419 in the midst^H7130 of thee is the Holy One^H6918 of Israel.^H3478

The voice^H6963 of one that crieth,^H7121 Prepare^H6437 ye in the wilderness^H4057 the way^H1870 of Jehovah;^H3068 make level^H3474 in the desert^H6160 a highway^H4546 for our God.^H430

Cry^H7121 aloud,^H1627 spare^H2820 not, lift^H7311 up thy voice^H6963 like a trumpet,^H7782 and declare^H5046 unto my people^H5971 their transgression,^H6588 and to the house^H1004 of Jacob^H3290 their sins.^H2403

Go,^H1980 and cry^H7121 in the ears^H241 of Jerusalem,^H3389 saying,^H559 Thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 I remember^H2142 for thee the kindness^H2617 of thy youth,^H5271 the love^H160 of thine espousals;^H3623 how thou wentest^H3212 after^H310 me in the wilderness,^H4057 in a land^H776 that was not sown.^H2232

Blow^H8628 ye the cornet^H7782 in Gibeah,^H1390 and the trumpet^H2689 in Ramah:^H7414 sound an alarm^H7321 at Beth-aven;^H1007 behind^H310 thee, O Benjamin.^H1144

For,^G1360 All^G3956 flesh^G4561 is as^G5613 grass,^G5528 And^G2532 all^G3956 the glory^G1391 thereof^G444 as^G5613 the flower^G438 of grass.^G5528 The grass^G5528 withereth,^G3583 and^G2532 the^G846 flower^G438 falleth:^G1601
