And thou sayest,^H559 What doth God^H410 know?^H3045 Can he judge^H8199 through the thick darkness?^H6205

Lo, this is the man^H1397 that made^H7760 not God^H430 his strength,^H4581 But trusted^H982 in the abundance^H7230 of his riches,^H6239 And strengthened^H5810 himself in his wickedness.^H1942

They encourage^H2388 themselves in an evil^H7451 purpose;^H1697 They commune^H5608 of laying^H2934 snares^H4170 privily;^H2934 They say,^H559 Who will see^H7200 them?

There is no man^H120 that hath power^H7989 over the spirit^H7307 to retain^H3607 the spirit;^H7307 neither hath he power^H7983 over the day^H3117 of death;^H4194 and there is no discharge^H4917 in war:^H4421 neither shall wickedness^H7562 deliver^H4422 him that is given^H1167 to it.

Because ye have said,^H559 We have made^H3772 a covenant^H1285 with death,^H4194 and with Sheol^H7585 are we^H6213 at agreement;^H2374 when the overflowing^H7857 scourge^H7752 shall pass through,^H5674 it shall not come^H935 unto us; for we have made^H7760 lies^H3577 our refuge,^H4268 and under falsehood^H8267 have we hid^H5641 ourselves:

He feedeth^H7462 on ashes;^H665 a deceived^H2048 heart^H3820 hath turned him aside;^H5186 and he cannot deliver^H5337 his soul,^H5315 nor say,^H559 Is there not a lie^H8267 in my right hand?^H3225

Can any^H376 hide^H5641 himself in secret places^H4565 so that I shall not see^H7200 him? saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068 Do not I fill^H4392 heaven^H8064 and earth?^H776 saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

Then said^H559 he unto me, The iniquity^H5771 of the house^H1004 of Israel^H3478 and Judah^H3063 is exceeding^H3966 great,^H1419 and the land^H776 is full^H4390 of blood,^H1818 and the city^H5892 full^H4390 of wresting^H4297 [of judgment]: for they say,^H559 Jehovah^H3068 hath forsaken^H5800 the land,^H776 and Jehovah^H3068 seeth^H7200 not.

Wherefore,^H3861 O king,^H4430 let my counsel^H4431 be acceptable^H8232 unto thee,^H5922 and break off^H6562 thy sins^H2408 by righteousness,^H6665 and thine iniquities^H5758 by showing mercy^H2604 to the poor;^H6033 if^H2006 there may be^H1934 a lengthening^H754 of thy tranquillity.^H7963

Professing themselves^G5335 to be^G1511 wise,^G4680 they became fools,^G3471
