1 A nd JoshuaH3091 rose up earlyH7925 in the morning;H1242 and they removedH5265 from Shittim,H7851 and cameH935 to the Jordan,H3383 he and all the childrenH1121 of Israel;H3478 and they lodgedH3885 there before they passed over.H5674
2 And it came to pass afterH7097 threeH7969 days,H3117 that the officersH7860 wentH5674 throughH7130 the midst of the camp;H4264
3 and they commandedH6680 the people,H5971 saying,H559 When ye seeH7200 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of JehovahH3068 your God,H430 and the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881 bearingH5375 it, then ye shall removeH5265 from your place,H4725 and goH1980 afterH310 it.

5 And JoshuaH3091 saidH559 unto the people,H5971 SanctifyH6942 yourselves; for to-morrowH4279 JehovahH3068 will doH6213 wondersH6381 amongH7130 you.
6 And JoshuaH3091 spakeH559 unto the priests,H3548 saying,H559 Take upH5375 the arkH727 of the covenant,H1285 and pass overH5674 beforeH6440 the people.H5971 And they took upH5375 the arkH727 of the covenant,H1285 and wentH3212 beforeH6440 the people.H5971
7 And JehovahH3068 saidH559 unto Joshua,H3091 This dayH3117 will I beginH2490 to magnifyH1431 thee in the sightH5869 of all Israel,H3478 that they may knowH3045 that, as I was with Moses,H4872 so I will be with thee.
8 And thou shalt commandH6680 the priestsH3548 that bearH5375 the arkH727 of the covenant,H1285 saying,H559 When ye are comeH935 to the brinkH7097 of the watersH4325 of the Jordan,H3383 ye shall stand stillH5975 in the Jordan.H3383

10 And JoshuaH3091 said,H559 Hereby ye shall knowH3045 that the livingH2416 GodH410 is amongH7130 you, and that he will without failH3423 drive outH3423 from beforeH6440 you the Canaanite,H3669 and the Hittite,H2850 and the Hivite,H2340 and the Perizzite,H6522 and the Girgashite,H1622 and the Amorite,H567 and the Jebusite.H2983
11 Behold, the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LordH113 of all the earthH776 passeth overH5674 beforeH6440 you into the Jordan.H3383
12 Now therefore takeH3947 you twelveH8147 menH376 out of the tribesH7626 of Israel,H3478 for everyH259 tribeH7626 a man.H376
13 And it shall come to pass, when the solesH3709 of the feetH7272 of the priestsH3548 that bearH5375 the arkH727 of Jehovah,H3068 the LordH3068 of all the earth,H776 shall restH5117 in the watersH4325 of the Jordan,H3383 that the watersH4325 of the JordanH3383 shall be cut off,H3772 even the watersH4325 that come downH3381 from above;H4605 and they shall standH5975 in oneH259 heap.H5067
14 And it came to pass, when the peopleH5971 removedH5265 from their tents,H168 to pass overH5674 the Jordan,H3383 the priestsH3548 that bareH5375 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 being beforeH6440 the people;H5971
15 and when they that bareH5375 the arkH727 were comeH935 unto the Jordan,H3383 and the feetH7272 of the priestsH3548 that bareH5375 the arkH727 were dippedH2881 in the brinkH7097 of the waterH4325 (for the JordanH3383 overflowethH4390 all its banksH1415 all the timeH3117 of harvest,)H7105
16 that the watersH4325 which came downH3381 from aboveH4605 stood,H5975 andH259 rose upH6965 in oneH259 heap,H5067 a greatH3966 way off,H7368 at Adam,H121 the cityH5892 that is besideH6654 Zarethan;H6891 and those that went downH3381 toward the seaH3220 of the Arabah,H6160 even the SaltH4417 Sea,H3220 were wholly cut off:H3772 and the peopleH5971 passed overH5674 right against Jericho.H3405
17 And the priestsH3548 that bareH5375 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of JehovahH3068 stoodH5975 firmH3559 on dry groundH2724 in the midstH8432 of the Jordan;H3383 and all IsraelH3478 passed overH5674 on dry ground,H2724 until all the nationH1471 were passedH5674 cleanH8552 overH5674 the Jordan.H3383
