And Moses^H4872 besought^H2470 Jehovah^H3068 his God,^H430 and said,^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 why doth thy wrath^H639 wax hot^H2734 against thy people,^H5971 that thou hast brought forth^H3318 out of the land^H776 of Egypt^H4714 with great^H1419 power^H3581 and with a mighty^H2389 hand?^H3027

And I prayed^H6419 unto Jehovah,^H3068 and said,^H559 O Lord^H3068 Jehovah,^H3068 destroy^H7843 not thy people^H5971 and thine inheritance,^H5159 that thou hast redeemed^H6299 through thy greatness,^H1433 that thou hast brought forth^H3318 out of Egypt^H4714 with a mighty^H2389 hand.^H3027

And the king^H4428 said^H559 unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered,^H559 This woman^H802 said^H559 unto me, Give^H5414 thy son,^H1121 that we may eat^H398 him to-day,^H3117 and we will eat^H398 my son^H1121 to-morrow.^H4279

Their priests^H3548 fell^H5307 by the sword;^H2719 And their widows^H490 made no lamentation.^H1058

For^H3588 thou art our Father,^H1 though Abraham^H85 knoweth^H3808 us not, and Israel^H3478 doth not acknowledge^H5234 us: thou, O Jehovah,^H3068 art our Father;^H1 our Redeemer^H1350 from everlasting^H5769 is thy name.^H8034

the prophets^H5030 prophesy^H5012 falsely,^H8267 and the priests^H3548 bear rule^H7287 by their means;^H3027 and my people^H5971 love^H157 to have it so: and what will ye do^H6213 in the end^H319 thereof?

We acknowledge,^H3045 O Jehovah,^H3068 our wickedness,^H7562 and the iniquity^H5771 of our fathers;^H1 for we have sinned^H2398 against thee.

And afterward,^H310 saith^H5002 Jehovah,^H3068 I will deliver^H5414 Zedekiah^H6667 king^H4428 of Judah,^H3063 and his servants,^H5650 and the people,^H5971 even such as are left^H7604 in this city^H5892 from the pestilence,^H1698 from the sword,^H2719 and from the famine,^H7458 into the hand^H3027 of Nebuchadrezzar^H5019 king^H4428 of Babylon,^H894 and into the hand^H3027 of their enemies,^H341 and into the hand^H3027 of those that seek^H1245 their life:^H5315 and he shall smite^H5221 them with the edge^H6310 of the sword;^H2719 he shall not spare^H2347 them, neither have pity,^H2550 nor have mercy.^H7355

I called^H7121 for my lovers,^H157 [but] they deceived^H7411 me: My priests^H3548 and mine elders^H2205 gave up the ghost^H1478 in the city,^H5892 While they sought^H1245 them food^H400 to refresh^H7725 their souls.^H5315

[ It is] because of the sins^H2403 of her prophets,^H5030 [and] the iniquities^H5771 of her priests,^H3548 That have shed^H8210 the blood^H1818 of the just^H6662 in the midst^H7130 of her.

Therefore the fathers^H1 shall eat^H398 the sons^H1121 in the midst^H8432 of thee, and the sons^H1121 shall eat^H398 their fathers;^H1 and I will execute^H6213 judgments^H8201 on thee; and the whole remnant^H7611 of thee will I scatter^H2219 unto all the winds.^H7307

And he said^H559 unto them, Defile^H2930 the house,^H1004 and fill^H4390 the courts^H2691 with the slain:^H2491 go ye forth.^H3318 And they went forth,^H3318 and smote^H5221 in the city.^H5892
