Therefore he brought^H5927 upon them the king^H4428 of the Chaldeans,^H3778 who slew^H2026 their young men^H970 with the sword^H2719 in the house^H1004 of their sanctuary,^H4720 and had no compassion^H2550 upon young man^H970 or virgin,^H1330 old man^H2205 or hoary-headed:^H3486 he gave^H5414 them all into his hand.^H3027

Fear,^H6343 and the pit,^H6354 and the snare,^H6341 are upon thee, O inhabitant^H3427 of the earth.^H776

Hast thou utterly^H3988 rejected^H3988 Judah?^H3063 hath thy soul^H5315 loathed^H1602 Zion?^H6726 why hast thou smitten^H5221 us, and there is no healing^H4832 for us? We looked^H6960 for peace,^H7965 but no good^H2896 came; and for a time^H6256 of healing,^H4832 and, behold, dismay!^H1205

Wherefore have I seen^H7200 it? they are dismayed^H2844 and are turned^H5472 backward;^H268 and their mighty ones^H1368 are beaten down,^H3807 and are fled^H5127 apace,^H4498 and look not back:^H6437 terror^H4032 is on every side,^H5439 saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

Ephraim,^H669 like as I have seen^H7200 Tyre,^H6865 is planted^H8362 in a pleasant place:^H5116 but Ephraim^H669 shall bring out^H3318 his children^H1121 to the slayer.^H2026

For^G3754 behold,^G2400 the days^G2250 are coming,^G2064 in^G1722 which^G3739 they shall say,^G2046 Blessed^G3107 are the barren,^G4723 and^G2532 the wombs^G2836 that^G3739 never^G3756 bare,^G1080 and^G2532 the breasts^G3149 that^G3739 never^G3756 gave suck.^G2337
