And I will set^H5414 my face^H6440 against you, and ye shall be smitten^H5062 before^H6440 your enemies:^H341 they that hate^H8130 you shall rule^H7287 over you; and ye shall flee^H5127 when none pursueth^H7291 you.

And Samuel^H8050 said,^H559 Wherefore then dost thou ask^H7592 of me, seeing Jehovah^H3068 is departed^H5493 from thee, and is become thine adversary?^H6145

Because they have forsaken^H5800 me, and have burned incense^H6999 unto other^H312 gods,^H430 that they might provoke me to anger^H3707 with all the works^H4639 of their hands;^H3027 therefore is my wrath^H2534 poured out^H5413 upon this place,^H4725 and it shall not be quenched.^H3518

I was at ease,^H7961 and he brake me asunder;^H6565 Yea, he hath taken^H270 me by the neck,^H6203 and dashed me to pieces:^H6327 He hath also set me up^H6965 for his mark.^H4307

He hath also prepared^H3559 for him the instruments^H3627 of death;^H4194 He maketh^H6466 his arrows^H2671 fiery [shafts].^H1814

Awake,^H5782 awake,^H5782 stand up,^H6965 O Jerusalem,^H3389 that hast drunk^H8354 at the hand^H3027 of Jehovah^H3068 the cup^H3563 of his wrath;^H2534 thou hast drunken^H8354 the bowl^H6907 of the cup^H3563 of staggering,^H8653 and drained^H4680 it.

But they rebelled,^H4784 and grieved^H6087 his holy^H6944 Spirit:^H7307 therefore he was turned^H2015 to be their enemy,^H341 [and] himself fought^H3898 against them.

Therefore thus saith^H559 the Lord^H136 Jehovah:^H3069 Behold, mine anger^H639 and my wrath^H2534 shall be poured out^H5413 upon this place,^H4725 upon man,^H120 and upon beast,^H929 and upon the trees^H6086 of the field,^H7704 and upon the fruit^H6529 of the ground;^H127 and it shall burn,^H1197 and shall not be quenched.^H3518

O house^H1004 of David,^H1732 thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 Execute^H1777 justice^H4941 in the morning,^H1242 and deliver^H5337 him that is robbed^H1497 out of the hand^H3027 of the oppressor,^H6231 lest my wrath^H2534 go forth^H3318 like fire,^H784 and burn^H1197 so that none can quench^H3518 it, because^H6440 of the evil^H7455 of your doings.^H4611

It may be they will present^H5307 their supplication^H8467 before^H6440 Jehovah,^H3068 and will return^H7725 every one^H376 from his evil^H7451 way;^H1870 for great^H1419 is the anger^H639 and the wrath^H2534 that Jehovah^H3068 hath pronounced^H1696 against this people.^H5971

From on high^H4791 hath he sent^H7971 fire^H784 into my bones,^H6106 and it prevaileth^H7287 against them; He hath spread^H6566 a net^H7568 for my feet,^H7272 he hath turned^H7725 me back:^H268 He hath made^H5414 me desolate^H8074 and faint^H1739 all the day.^H3117

Surely against me he turneth^H7725 his hand^H3027 again^H2015 and again all the day.^H3117

How is the gold^H2091 become dim!^H6004 [how] is the most^H2896 pure gold^H3800 changed!^H8132 The stones^H68 of the sanctuary^H6944 are poured out^H8210 at the head^H7218 of every street.^H2351

Thus shall mine anger^H639 be accomplished,^H3615 and I will cause my wrath^H2534 toward them to rest,^H5117 and I shall be comforted;^H5162 and they shall know^H3045 that I, Jehovah,^H3068 have spoken^H1696 in my zeal,^H7068 when I have accomplished^H3615 my wrath^H2534 upon them.

They have blown^H8628 the trumpet,^H8619 and have made all ready;^H3559 but none goeth^H1980 to the battle;^H4421 for my wrath^H2740 is upon all the multitude^H1995 thereof.

As silver^H3701 is melted^H2046 in the midst^H8432 of the furnace,^H3564 so shall ye be melted^H5413 in the midst^H8432 thereof; and ye shall know^H3045 that I, Jehovah,^H3068 have poured out^H8210 my wrath^H2534 upon you.

Wherefore I poured^H8210 out my wrath^H2534 upon them for the blood^H1818 which they had poured^H8210 out upon the land,^H776 and because they had defiled^H2930 it with their idols;^H1544

Who can stand^H5975 before^H6440 his indignation?^H2195 and who can abide^H6965 in the fierceness^H2740 of his anger?^H639 his wrath^H2534 is poured out^H5413 like fire,^H784 and the rocks^H6697 are broken asunder^H5422 by him.
