And [Abraham] planted^H5193 a tamarisk^H815 tree in Beer-sheba,^H884 and called^H7121 there on the name^H8034 of Jehovah,^H3068 the Everlasting^H5769 God.^H410

And Abraham^H85 lifted up^H5375 his eyes,^H5869 and looked,^H7200 and, behold, behind^H310 [him] a ram^H352 caught^H270 in the thicket^H5442 by his horns:^H7161 and Abraham^H85 went^H3212 and took^H3947 the ram,^H352 and offered him up^H5927 for a burnt-offering^H5930 in the stead^H8478 of his son.^H1121

And this is the law^H8451 of the sacrifice^H2077 of peace-offerings,^H8002 which one shall offer^H7126 unto Jehovah.^H3068

Only the people^H5971 sacrificed^H2076 in the high places,^H1116 because there was no house^H1004 built^H1129 for the name^H8034 of Jehovah^H3068 until those days.^H3117

For they also built^H1129 them high places,^H1116 and pillars,^H4676 and Asherim,^H842 on every high^H1364 hill,^H1389 and under every green^H7488 tree;^H6086

For when I had brought^H935 them into the land,^H776 which I sware^H3027 to^H5375 give^H5414 unto them, then they saw^H7200 every high^H7311 hill,^H1389 and every thick^H5687 tree,^H6086 and they offered^H2076 there their sacrifices,^H2077 and there they presented^H5414 the provocation^H3708 of their offering;^H2076 there also they made^H7760 their sweet^H5207 savor,^H7381 and they poured out^H5258 there their drink-offerings.^H5262
