1 A nd JehovahH3068 saidH559 unto Moses,H4872 SpeakH559 unto the priests,H3548 the sonsH1121 of Aaron,H175 and sayH559 unto them, There shall none defileH2930 himself for the deadH5315 among his people;H5971
2 except for his kin,H7607 that is nearH7138 unto him, for his mother,H517 and for his father,H1 and for his son,H1121 and for his daughter,H1323 and for his brother,H251
3 and for his sisterH269 a virgin,H1330 that is nearH7138 unto him, that hath had no husband;H376 for her may he defileH2930 himself.
4 He shall not defileH2930 himself, [being] a chief manH1167 among his people,H5971 to profaneH2490 himself.
5 They shall not makeH7139 baldnessH7144 upon their head,H7218 neither shall they shave offH1548 the cornerH6285 of their beard,H2206 nor makeH8295 any cuttingsH8296 in their flesh.H1320
6 They shall be holyH6944 unto their God,H430 and not profaneH2490 the nameH8034 of their God;H430 for the offeringsH801 of JehovahH3068 made by fire,H801 the breadH3899 of their God,H430 they do offer:H7126 therefore they shall be holy.H6918
7 They shall not takeH3947 a womanH802 that is a harlot,H2181 or profane;H2491 neither shall they takeH3947 a womanH802 put awayH1644 from her husband:H376 for he is holyH6918 unto his God.H430
8 Thou shalt sanctifyH6942 him therefore; for he offerethH7126 the breadH3899 of thy God:H430 he shall be holyH6918 unto thee: for I Jehovah,H3068 who sanctifyH6942 you, am holy.H6918
9 And the daughterH1323 of anyH376 priest,H3548 if she profaneH2490 herself by playing the harlot,H2181 she profanethH2490 her father:H1 she shall be burntH8313 with fire.H784
10 And he that is the highH1419 priestH3548 among his brethren,H251 upon whose headH7218 the anointingH4888 oilH8081 is poured,H3332 and that is consecratedH4390 to putH3847 on the garments,H899 shall not let the hair of his headH7218 go loose,H6544 nor rendH6533 his clothes;H899
11 neither shall he go inH935 to any deadH4191 body,H5315 nor defileH2930 himself for his father,H1 or for his mother;H517
12 neither shall he go outH3318 of the sanctuary,H4720 nor profaneH2490 the sanctuaryH4720 of his God;H430 for the crownH5145 of the anointingH4888 oilH8081 of his GodH430 is upon him: I am Jehovah.H3068
13 And he shall takeH3947 a wifeH802 in her virginity.H1331
14 A widow,H490 or one divorced, or a profaneH2491 woman,H1644 a harlot,H2181 these shall he not take:H3947 but a virginH1330 of his own peopleH5971 shall he takeH3947 to wife.H802
15 And he shall not profaneH2490 his seedH2233 among his people:H5971 for I am JehovahH3068 who sanctifiethH6942 him.
16 And JehovahH3068 spakeH1696 unto Moses,H4872 saying,H559
17 SpeakH1696 unto Aaron,H175 saying,H559 WhosoeverH376 he be of thy seedH2233 throughout their generationsH1755 that hath a blemish,H3971 let him not approachH7126 to offerH7126 the breadH3899 of his God.H430
18 For whatsoever manH376 he be that hath a blemish,H3971 he shall not approach:H7126 a blindH5787 man,H376 or a lame,H6455 or he that hath a flat nose,H2763 or anything superfluous,H8311
19 or a manH376 that is broken-footed,H7667 or broken-handed,H7667
20 or crook-backed,H1384 or a dwarf,H1851 or that hath a blemishH8400 in his eye,H5869 or is scurvy,H1618 or scabbed,H3217 or hath his stonesH810 broken;H4790
21 no manH376 of the seedH2233 of AaronH175 the priest,H3548 that hath a blemish,H3971 shall come nighH5066 to offerH7126 the offeringsH801 of JehovahH3068 made by fire:H801 he hath a blemish;H3971 he shall not come nighH5066 to offerH7126 the breadH3899 of his God.H430
22 He shall eatH398 the breadH3899 of his God,H430 both of the mostH6944 holy,H6944 and of the holy:H6944
23 only he shall not go inH935 unto the veil,H6532 nor come nighH5066 unto the altar,H4196 because he hath a blemish;H3971 that he profaneH2490 not my sanctuaries:H4720 for I am JehovahH3068 who sanctifiethH6942 them.
24 So MosesH4872 spakeH1696 unto Aaron,H175 and to his sons,H1121 and unto all the childrenH1121 of Israel.H3478
