The land^H776 dark^H5890 as midnight,^H652 [The land] of the shadow of death,^H6757 without any order,^H5468 And where the light^H3313 is as midnight.^H652

Good^H2896 and upright^H3477 is Jehovah:^H3068 Therefore will he instruct^H3384 sinners^H2400 in the way.^H1870

That thou hast sore broken^H1794 us in the place^H4725 of jackals,^H8577 And covered^H3680 us with the shadow of death.^H6757

Such as sat^H3427 in darkness^H2822 and in the shadow of death,^H6757 Being bound^H615 in affliction^H6040 and iron,^H1270

Her ways^H1870 are ways^H1870 of pleasantness,^H5278 And all her paths^H5410 are peace.^H7965

The people^H5971 that walked^H1980 in darkness^H2822 have seen^H7200 a great^H1419 light:^H216 they that dwelt^H3427 in the land^H776 of the shadow of death,^H6757 upon them hath the light^H216 shined.^H5050

And I will bring^H3212 the blind^H5787 by a way^H1870 that they know^H3045 not; in paths^H5410 that they know^H3045 not will I lead^H1869 them; I will make^H7760 darkness^H4285 light^H216 before^H6440 them, and crooked places^H4625 straight.^H4334 These things^H4625 will I do,^H6213 and I will not forsake^H5800 them.

There is no peace,^H7965 saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 to the wicked.^H7563

saying^H559 to them that are bound,^H631 Go forth;^H3318 to them that are in darkness,^H2822 Show^H1540 yourselves. They shall feed^H7462 in the ways,^H1870 and on all bare heights^H8205 shall be their pasture.^H4830

The way^H1870 of peace^H7965 they know^H3045 not; and there is no justice^H4941 in their goings:^H4570 they have made them crooked^H6140 paths;^H5410 whosoever goeth^H1869 therein doth not know^H3045 peace.^H7965

Neither said^H559 they, Where is Jehovah^H3068 that brought us up^H5927 out of the land^H776 of Egypt,^H4714 that led^H3212 us through the wilderness,^H4057 through a land^H776 of deserts^H6160 and of pits,^H7745 through a land^H776 of drought^H6723 and of the shadow of death,^H6757 through a land^H776 that none^H376 passed through,^H5674 and where no man^H376 dwelt?^H3427

the people^G2992 that^G3588 sat^G2521 in^G1722 darkness^G4655 saw^G1492 a great^G3173 light,^G5457 and^G2532 to them^G846 that^G3588 sat^G2521 in^G1722 the region^G5561 and^G2532 shadow^G4639 of death,^G2288 to them did light^G5457 spring up.^G393

A light^G5457 for^G1519 revelation^G602 to the Gentiles,^G1484 And^G2532 the glory^G1391 of^G2992 thy^G4675 people^G2992 Israel.^G2474

Again^G3825 therefore^G3767 Jesus^G2424 spake^G2980 unto them,^G846 saying,^G3004 I^G1473 am^G1510 the light^G5457 of the world:^G2889 he that followeth^G190 me^G1698 shall^G4043 not^{G3756 G3361} walk^G4043 in^G1722 the darkness,^G4653 but^G235 shall have^G2192 the light^G5457 of life.^G2222

I^G1473 am come^G2064 a light^G5457 into^G1519 the world,^G2889 that^G2443 whosoever^G3956 believeth^G4100 on^G1519 me^G1691 may^G3306 not^G3361 abide^G3306 in^G1722 the darkness.^G4653

And^G2532 the way^G3598 of peace^G1515 have they^G1097 not^G3756 known:^G1097

But^G1161 ye,^G5210 brethren,^G80 are^G2075 not^G3756 in^G1722 darkness,^G4655 that^G2443 that day^G2250 should overtake^G2638 you^G5209 as^G5613 a thief:^G2812
