And they said^H559 unto Moses,^H4872 Speak^H1696 thou with us, and we will hear;^H8085 but let not God^H430 speak^H1696 with us, lest we die.^H4191

And Samuel^H8050 said^H559 unto the people,^H5971 Fear^H3372 not; ye have indeed done^H6213 all this evil;^H7451 yet turn not aside^H5493 from following^H310 Jehovah,^H3068 but serve^H5647 Jehovah^H3068 with all your heart:^H3824

And they say^H559 unto God,^H410 Depart^H5493 from us; For we desire^H2654 not the knowledge^H1847 of thy ways.^H1870

Ye have said,^H559 It is vain^H7723 to serve^H5647 God;^H430 and what profit^H1215 is it that we have kept^H8104 his charge,^H4931 and that we have walked^H1980 mournfully^H6941 before^H6440 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts?^H6635

because^G1360 the mind^G5427 of the flesh^G4561 is enmity^G2189 against^G1519 God;^G2316 for^G1063 it is^G5293 not^G3756 subject^G5293 to the law^G3551 of God,^G2316 neither^G3761 indeed^G1063 can it be:^G1410

For^G1063 God^G2316 gave^G1325 us^{G2254 G1325} not^G3756 a spirit^G4151 of fearfulness;^G1167 but^G235 of power^G1411 and^G2532 love^G26 and^G2532 discipline.^G4995

There is^G2076 no^G3756 fear^G5401 in^G1722 love:^G26 but^G235 perfect^G5046 love^G26 casteth^G906 out^G1854 fear,^G5401 because^G3754 fear^G5401 hath^G2192 punishment;^G2851 and he that feareth^G5399 is^G5048 not^G3756 made perfect^G5048 in^G1722 love.^G1161
