and he looked^H8259 toward^H6440 Sodom^H5467 and Gomorrah,^H6017 and toward^H6440 all the land^H776 of the Plain,^H3603 and beheld,^H7200 and, lo, the smoke^H7008 of the land^H776 went up^H5927 as the smoke^H7008 of a furnace.^H3536

Surely^H3426 there is a mine^H4161 for silver,^H3701 And a place^H4725 for gold^H2091 which they refine.^H2212

Come now,^H3212 and let us reason together,^H3198 saith^H559 Jehovah:^H3068 though your sins^H2399 be as scarlet,^H8144 they shall be as white^H3835 as snow;^H7950 though they be red^H119 like crimson,^H8438 they shall be as wool.^H6785

For though thou wash^H3526 thee with lye,^H5427 and take thee much^H7235 soap,^H1287 yet thine iniquity^H5771 is marked^H3799 before^H6440 me, saith^H5002 the Lord^H136 Jehovah.^H3069

Woe^H1945 unto you that desire^H183 the day^H3117 of Jehovah!^H3068 Wherefore^H4100 would ye have the day^H3117 of Jehovah?^H3068 It is darkness,^H2822 and not light.^H216

For, behold, the day^H3117 cometh,^H935 it burneth^H1197 as a furnace;^H8574 and all the proud,^H2086 and all that work^H6213 wickedness,^H7564 shall be stubble;^H7179 and the day^H3117 that cometh^H935 shall burn them up,^H3857 saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 that it shall leave^H5800 them neither root^H8328 nor branch.^H6057
