The elder^H2205 and the honorable^H6440 man, he^H1931 is the head;^H7218 and the prophet^H5030 that teacheth^H3384 lies,^H8267 he is the tail.^H2180

Then Jehovah^H3068 said^H559 unto me, The prophets^H5030 prophesy^H5012 lies^H8267 in my name;^H8034 I sent^H7971 them not, neither have I commanded^H6680 them, neither spake^H1696 I unto them: they prophesy^H5012 unto you a lying^H8267 vision,^H2377 and divination,^H7081 and a thing of nought,^H457 and the deceit^H8649 of their own heart.^H3820

Then said^H559 the prophet^H5030 Jeremiah^H3414 unto Hananiah^H2608 the prophet,^H5030 Hear^H8085 now, Hananiah:^H2608 Jehovah^H3068 hath not sent^H7971 thee; but thou makest this people^H5971 to trust^H982 in a lie.^H8267

therefore thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 Behold, I will punish^H6485 Shemaiah^H8098 the Nehelamite,^H5161 and his seed;^H2233 he shall not have a man^H376 to dwell^H3427 among^H8432 this people,^H5971 neither shall he behold^H7200 the good^H2896 that I will do^H6213 unto my people,^H5971 saith^H5002 Jehovah,^H3068 because he hath spoken^H1696 rebellion^H5627 against Jehovah.^H3068

Because with lies^H8267 ye have grieved^H3512 the heart^H3820 of the righteous,^H6662 whom I have not made sad;^H3512 and strengthened^H2388 the hands^H3027 of the wicked,^H7451 that he should not return^H7725 from his wicked^H7563 way,^H1870 and be saved alive;^H2421

Her princes^H8269 in the midst^H7130 thereof are like wolves^H2061 ravening^H2963 the prey,^H2964 to shed^H8210 blood,^H1818 [and] to destroy^H6 souls,^H5315 that they may get^H1214 dishonest gain.^H1215

The heads^H7218 thereof judge^H8199 for reward,^H7810 and the priests^H3548 thereof teach^H3384 for hire,^H4242 and the prophets^H5030 thereof divine^H7080 for money:^H3701 yet they lean^H8172 upon Jehovah,^H3068 and say,^H559 Is not Jehovah^H3068 in the midst^H7130 of us? no evil^H7451 shall come^H935 upon us.

And it shall come to pass in that day,^H3117 that the prophets^H5030 shall be ashamed^H954 every one^H376 of his vision,^H2384 when he prophesieth;^H5012 neither shall they wear^H3847 a hairy^H8181 mantle^H155 to deceive:^H3584

And^G1161 Jesus^G2424 said^G2036 unto them,^G846 Take heed^G3708 and^G2532 beware^G4337 of^G575 the leaven^G2219 of the Pharisees^G5330 and^G2532 Sadducees.^G4523

And^G2532 Jesus^G2424 answered^G611 and said^G2036 unto them,^G846 Take heed that^G991 no^G3361 man^G5100 lead you^G5209 astray.^G4105

For^G1063 there shall arise^G1453 false Christs,^G5580 and^G2532 false prophets,^G5578 and^G2532 shall show^G1325 great^G3173 signs^G4592 and^G2532 wonders;^G5059 so as to lead astray,^G4105 if^G1487 possible,^G1415 even^G2532 the^G1588 elect.^G1588

for^G1063 there shall arise^G1453 false Christs^G5580 and^G2532 false prophets,^G5578 and^G2532 shall show^G1325 signs^G4592 and^G2532 wonders,^G5059 that^G4314 they may lead astray,^G635 if^G1487 possible,^G1415 the^G2532 elect.^G1588

And^G1161 he said^G2036 unto^G4314 them,^G846 Take heed,^G3708 and^G2532 keep^G5442 yourselves from^G575 all covetousness:^G4124 for^G3754 a man's^{G5100 G846} life^G2222 consisteth^G2076 not^G3756 in^G1722 the abundance^G4052 of^G1537 the things which^G5224 he^G846 possesseth.^G5224

And^G1161 when they had gone through^G1330 the whole island^G3520 unto^G891 Paphos,^G3974 they found^G2147 a certain^G5100 sorcerer,^G3097 a false prophet,^G5578 a Jew,^G2453 whose^G3739 name^G3686 was Bar-jesus;^G919

^G1063 I^G1473 know^{G1492 G5124} that^G3754 after^G3326 my^G3450 departing^G867 grievous^G926 wolves^G3074 shall enter^G1525 in among^G1519 you,^G5209 not^G3361 sparing^G5339 the flock;^G4168

For^G1063 such^G5108 men are false apostles,^G5570 deceitful^G1386 workers,^G2040 fashioning^G3345 themselves into^G1519 apostles^G652 of Christ.^G5547

that^G2443 we^G5600 may be^G5600 no longer^G3371 children,^G3516 tossed to and fro^G2831 and^G2532 carried about^G4064 with every^G3956 wind^G417 of doctrine,^G1319 by^G1722 the sleight^G2940 of men,^G444 in^G1722 craftiness,^{G3834 G3588} after^G4314 the wiles^G3180 of error;^G4106

Beware^G991 of the dogs,^G2965 beware^G991 of^G2040 the evil^G2556 workers,^G2040 beware^G991 of the concision:^G2699

But^G1161 the Spirit^G4151 saith^G3004 expressly,^G4490 that^G3754 in^G1722 later^G5306 times^G2540 some^G5100 shall fall away from^G868 the faith,^G4102 giving heed to^G4337 seducing^G4108 spirits^G4151 and^G2532 doctrines^G1319 of demons,^G1140

But^G1161 evil^G4190 men^G444 and^G2532 impostors^G1114 shall wax^G4298 worse and worse,^G5501 deceiving^G4105 and^G2532 being deceived.^G4105

But^G1161 there arose^G1096 false prophets^G5578 also^G2532 among^G1722 the people,^G2992 as^G5613 among^G1722 you^G5213 also^G2532 there shall be^G2071 false teachers,^G5572 who^G3748 shall privily bring in^G3919 destructive^G684 heresies,^G139 denying^G720 even^G2532 the Master^G1203 that bought^G59 them,^G846 bringing upon^G1863 themselves^G1438 swift^G5031 destruction.^G684

Ye^G5210 therefore,^G3767 beloved,^G27 knowing^G4267 [these things] beforehand, beware^G5442 lest,^G3363 being carried^G1601 away^G4879 with the error^G4106 of the wicked,^G113 ye fall from^G1601 your own^G2398 stedfastness.^G4740

For^G1063 there are^G3921 certain^G5100 men^G444 crept in privily,^G3921 [even] they who were^G4270 of old^G3819 written^G4270 of beforehand unto^G1519 this^G5124 condemnation,^G2917 ungodly men,^G765 turning^G3346 the grace^G5485 of^G2316 our^G2257 God^G2316 into^G1519 lasciviousness,^G766 and^G2532 denying^G720 our^G2316 only^G3441 Master^{G1203 G2316} and^{G2532 G2257} Lord,^G1203 Jesus^G2424 Christ.^G5547

And^G2532 I saw^G1492 [coming] out of^G1537 the mouth^G4750 of the dragon,^G1404 and^G2532 out of^G1537 the mouth^G4750 of the beast,^G2342 and^G2532 out of^G1537 the mouth^G4750 of the false prophet,^G5578 three^G5140 unclean^G169 spirits,^G4151 as it were^G3664 frogs:^G944

And^G2532 the beast^G2342 was taken,^G4084 and^G2532 with^G3326 him^G5127 the false prophet^G5578 that wrought^G4160 the signs^G4592 in his^G846 sight,^{G1799 G1722} wherewith^G3739 he deceived^G4105 them that had received^G2983 the mark^G5480 of the beast^G2342 and^G2532 them that worshipped^G4352 his^G846 image:^G1504 they two^G1417 were cast^G906 alive^G2198 into^G1519 the lake^G3041 of fire^G4442 that burneth^G2545 with^G1722 brimstone:^G2303
