Wherefore the people^H5971 strove^H7378 with Moses,^H4872 and said,^H559 Give^H5414 us water^H4325 that we may drink.^H8354 And Moses^H4872 said^H559 unto them, Why strive^H7378 ye with me? Wherefore do ye tempt^H5254 Jehovah?^H3068

While the flesh^H1320 was yet^H2962 between their teeth,^H8127 ere it was chewed,^H3772 the anger^H639 of Jehovah^H3068 was kindled^H2734 against the people,^H5971 and Jehovah^H3068 smote^H5221 the people^H5971 with a very^H3966 great^H7227 plague.^H4347

And the men,^H582 whom Moses^H4872 sent^H7971 to spy^H8446 out the land,^H776 who returned,^H7725 and made all the congregation^H5712 to murmur^H3885 against him, by bringing up^H3318 an evil report^H1681 against the land,^H776

And it came to pass, as he made an end^H3615 of speaking^H1696 all these words,^H1697 that the ground^H127 clave asunder^H1234 that was under them;
