He will keep^H8104 the feet^H7272 of his holy ones;^H2623 But the wicked^H7563 shall be put to silence^H1826 in darkness;^H2822 For by strength^H3581 shall no man^H376 prevail.^H1396

They grope^H4959 in the dark^H2822 without light;^H216 And he maketh them to stagger^H8582 like a drunken^H7910 man.

He shall be driven^H1920 from light^H216 into darkness,^H2822 And chased^H5074 out of the world.^H8398

Who forsake^H5800 the paths^H734 of uprightness,^H3476 To walk^H3212 in the ways^H1870 of darkness;^H2822

Therefore is justice^H4941 far^H7368 from us, neither doth righteousness^H6666 overtake^H5381 us: we look^H6960 for light,^H216 but, behold, darkness;^H2822 for brightness,^H5054 but we walk^H1980 in obscurity.^H653

Give^H5414 glory^H3519 to Jehovah^H3068 your God,^H430 before he cause darkness,^H2821 and before your feet^H7272 stumble^H5062 upon the dark^H5399 mountains,^H2022 and, while ye look^H6960 for light,^H216 he turn^H7760 it into the shadow of death,^H6757 and make^H7896 it gross darkness.^H6205
