The fear^H3374 of Jehovah^H3068 is the beginning^H7225 of knowledge;^H1847 [But] the foolish^H191 despise^H936 wisdom^H2451 and instruction.^H4148

For that they hated^H8130 knowledge,^H1847 And did not choose^H977 the fear^H3374 of Jehovah:^H3068

Wherefore is there a price^H4242 in the hand^H3027 of a fool^H3684 to buy^H7069 wisdom,^H2451 Seeing he hath no understanding?^H3820

Refuse^H3988 silver^H3701 shall men call^H7121 them, because Jehovah^H3068 hath rejected^H3988 them.

that I may take^H8610 the house^H1004 of Israel^H3478 in their own heart,^H3820 because they are all estranged^H2114 from me through their idols.^H1544

For^G1063 as I passed along,^G1330 and^G2532 observed^G333 the objects of your^G5216 worship,^G4574 I found^G2147 also^G2532 an altar^G1041 with^G1722 this^G3739 inscription,^G1924 TO AN UNKNOWN^G57 GOD.^G2316 What^G3739 therefore^G3767 ye worship^G2151 in ignorance,^G50 this^G5126 I^G1473 set forth^G2605 unto you.^G5213

For^G1063 the wrath^G3709 of God^G2316 is revealed^G601 from^G575 heaven^G3772 against^G1909 all^G3956 ungodliness^G763 and^G2532 unrighteousness^G93 of men,^G444 who^G3588 hinder^G2722 the truth^G225 in^G1722 unrighteousness;^G93

Try^G3985 your own selves,^G1438 whether^G1487 ye are^G2075 in^G1722 the faith;^G4102 prove^G1381 your own selves.^G1438 Or know^G1921 ye not^G3756 as to your own selves,^G1438 that^G3754 Jesus^G2424 Christ^G5547 is^G2076 in^G1722 you?^G5213 unless^G1509 indeed ye be^{G2075 G5100} reprobate.^G96

rendering^G1325 vengeance^G1557 to them that know^G1492 not^G3361 God,^G2316 and^G2532 to them that obey^G5219 not^G3361 the gospel^G2098 of our^G2257 Lord^G2962 Jesus:^G2424

Wherefore,^G1352 though I have^G2192 all^G4183 boldness^G3954 in^G1722 Christ^G5547 to enjoin^G2004 thee^G4671 that which is befitting,^G433
