TSK · Proverbs 15:8

This pleased the LORDE well, that Salomon axed soch a peticion.

Heare ye right (O LORDE) cosidre my coplaynte: herken vnto my prayer, that goeth not out of a fayned mouth.

The LORDE is farre from the vngodly, but he heareth ye prayer of the rightuous.

He that turneth awaye his eare from hearinge ye lawe, his prayer shalbe abhorred.

(my doue) out of the caues of the rockes, out of the holes of the wall: O let me se thy countenaunce and heare thy voyce, for swete is thy voyce and fayre is thy face.

Why offre ye so many sacrifices vnto me? I am discontent for the brentoffringes of wethers, and with ye fatnesse offedbeastes. I haue no pleasure in the bloude of bullockes, lambes and gootes.

For who so slayeth an oxe for me, doth me so greate dishonoure, as he yt kylleth a ma. He that kylleth a shepe for me, choketh a dogge. He that bringeth me meatoffringes, offreth swynes bloude: Who so maketh me a memoriall of Incense, prayseth the thinge yt is vnright. Yet take they soch wayes in honde, and their soule deliteth in these abhominacions.

Thus saieth the LORDE of hoostes, the God of Israel: Ye heape vp youre burntoffringes with youre sacrifices, & eate ye flesh.

I hate and abhorre youre holy dayes, ad where as ye cense me when ye come together I will not accepte it.

What acceptable thynge shal I offre vnto the LORDE? shall I bowe mykne to the hye God? Shal I come before him wt brentofferinges, and with calues of a yeare olde?

God is a sprete, and they that worshippe him, must worshippe in sprete and in the trueth.
