Then wete there thre M. men of Iuda downe to the stone clyffe of Etam, & sayde vnto Samson: Knowest thou not that the Philistynes raigne ouer vs? Wherfore hast thou done this then vnto vs? He sayde: As they dyd vnto me, so haue I done vnto the agayne.

Saye not thou: I will recompence euell, but put yi trust in the LORDE, & he shal defende ye.

But I saye vnto you: that ye resist not euell. But whosoeuer geueth the a blowe on thy right cheke, turne to him the other also.

Se that none recompence euell for euell vnto eny man: but euer folowe that which is good, both amoge youre selues and to all men.
