TSK · Amos 5:2

Finally they left all the commaundements of the Lorde their God, and made them molten images, euen two calues, and made a groue, and worshipped all the hoste of heauen, and serued Baal.

Prepare a slaughter for his children, for the iniquitie of their fathers: let them not rise vp nor possesse the land, nor fil the face of the world with enemies.

This is the worde that the Lord hath spoken against him, the virgine, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, & laughed thee to scorne: the daughter of Ierusalem, hath shaken her head at thee.

Awake, awake, and stande vp, O Ierusalem, which hast drunke at the hande of the Lorde the cup of his wrath: thou hast drunken the dregges of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.

Destruction vpon destruction is cryed, for the whole lande is wasted: suddenly are my tents destroyed, and my curtaines in a moment.

For death is come vp into our windowes, and is entred into our palaces, to destroy the children without, and the yong men in the streetes.

Therefore thus saith the Lord, Aske now among the heathen, who hath heard such thinges? the virgin of Israel hath done very filthily.

Againe I will builde thee, and thou shalt be builded, O virgine Israel: thou shalt stil be adorned with thy timbrels, and shalt goe foorth in the dance of them that be ioyfull.

And shalt say, Thus shal Babel be drowned, and shall not rise from the euil, that I will bring vpon her: and they shal be weary. Thus farre are the wordes of Ieremiah.

What thing shall I take to witnesse for thee? what thing shall I compare to thee, O daughter Ierusalem? what shal I liken to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgine daughter Zion? for thy breach is great like ye sea: who can heale thee?

After two dayes will he reuiue vs, and in the third day he will raise vs vp, and we shall liue in his sight.

And when they had made an ende of eating the grasse of the land, then I saide, O Lorde God, spare, I beseeche thee: who shal raise vp Iaakob? for he is small.

In that day will I raise vp the tabernacle of Dauid, that is fallen downe, and close vp the breaches therof, and I will rayse vp his ruines, and I will builde it, as in the dayes of olde,
